We didn't need to win today to win the league.

But by winning, we have probably knocked them out of the top 4. Chelsea look twice the side under Tuchel than they were under Fat Frank. 1 point back right now.

Everton are 3 points back with 2 games in hand. Villa are 5 points back with 2 games in hand. Spurs 4 back with a game in hand. West Ham are 1 point back.

If it was just one challenger, they could probably fend them off, but there are FIVE teams within five points who are in much better form and don't have the injury problems or CL games to contend with.

They might not even finish 5th. Or 6th.

That's going to cripple them financially as well.

Does the new CL entry criteria change from next season, so it doesn’t matter where you finish as long as you’ve got ‘history’?

If not - you can guarantee FSG will be lobbying hard to bring the date forward!

im getiing feckin fed up about the word " contact" when it comes to pen decisions. Seems to me its a word the media started to use a few seasons ago after there was talk of penalising, even retrospectively deliberate diving. if they want to carry on using "contact" it should be preceeded by "enough". Every pen should be var'd with that in mind and if its a no, then consider booking the diving twat.
Yes, Dias tugged or made "contact", but what followed was a deffo dive.

I totally agree about "contact". On the other hand I would completely ban fouls when using your hands like pulling, pushing, wrestling, holding and so on. I thought the rules allow using your BODY, not your HANDS. It has gone over the years, sadly.

Using hands is giving bad ballers an advantage.
I want to see great footballers, that's what football is about!
