Would love that but still feel we would need a holding midfielder if Fernandinho leaves which is looking likely. I know gundo can play there but if Rodri got a long term injury we would be a bit light and not sure if Doyle is up to it yet. Would rather a holder than Grealish personally

KDB with his skill he can play at top level till he is at least 34 probably depend on his body with injuries he has had.

Yea, replacing KDB right now when he's likely got at least 3 top/world class seasons in him really shouldn't be a priority right now. Probably not even something worth thinking about until we sort the striker and possibly even left back situation out depending on how Zinny does for the rest of the season.

I know people don't want to contemplate it, but we must start looking for a KDB successor, who isn't getting any younger.

Nobody is in Kev's class, but Grealish would certainly be a smart buy, as City want to increase their homegrown core.

Little early? When he get 31/32 we can look for a future replacement. Cant get much gametime in the squad nowdays if we add Grealish?

Id hope that Fernandinho stays for 2 more seasons. Hed be great cover for midfield even if age is not on his side. Imo.

We have 3 who can cover LB if Zinchenko is out for whatever reason - Laporte, Ake & Cancelo. To be fair though if we had a CB crisis we could be in trouble but id risk it.

In all honesty if we can’t get one who is good enough whilst also attaining top attacking talent then I’m not bothered if we don’t get one. Ruben and Stones are killing it in defence and laporte can’t get a game. Zinny is good at what he does and Ake will slot in as the left centre back when Cancelo pushes forward. Would be fine for another year
