The thing is Everton actually created very little in that second half. So the injuries argument doesn't stand up. Their makeshift defence was not exactly overworked.

At 0-1 the game was there to be turned round. Yet the "world's best front three" yet again couldn't manage it. If I was a Liverpool fan that would be by far my biggest concern. Blaming the injuries is letting them off the hook.
