Arsenal (A) Post Match thread

Alex Scott just made a very good point about THIS City, and that is that every player in the squad looks happy with the rotation they get, so when they get their chance they're taking it, I can't ever remember a squad being like this. Fernandhino a perfect example, barely plays now, but can put in a top quality performance like today with out consistently playing, Laporte midweek, Zinchenko, Walker, they're all the same, full on into it. Jesus left on the bench, but he put quite a shift in when he came on.

A squad with no sulks it seems, and I love the high fives in defence when they make a good defence.

I can't believe I'm watching Manchester City at 1-0 up away at arsenal, and I'm not worried we'll throw it away, 94 minutes at 1-0 today, brilliant.

Sideshow shows why he's still a dirty twat and why we probably didn't give Kun 10 mins with their history.

Fatboy Moss poor and inconsistent books Bernie for very little, gives the freekick against Dias when he fairly won the ball and no booking for Sideshow.
 
I would be fuming if I were an Arsenal fan. We were begging them to come at us so we could try and exploit them on the break but they wouldn't go for it. Way too cautious, they didn't even try and lay a glove on us.

Solid enough display, 3 points and a clean sheet. Well done again Blue Boys!
 
We looked to have a few tired legs today with Cancelo, Bernie and Sterling.

Added to KDB and Gundo coming back, we could have suffered more against a better team, perhaps.

Fernandinho was incredible and loved the inside work of Zinchenko again.

Such an honest pro with a high degree of technical ability.

Obviously Dias and Stones bring a degree of calmness to us all.

A word for Jesus, too. This guy is putting his body on the line in recent weeks and gives us plenty of purpose when others are flagging.

Mahrez was anonymous after ten minutes.

Mahrez...first 15 -20 mins was unplayable....did a disappearing act again however after that and didnt do much but was a bit better defensively than normal

Jesus was everywhere when he came on but is there a centre forward anywhere who is worse at shooting?

Started like we were gonna hit arsenal for six and to be fair 3-4 good chances not taken,they came back into it possession wise end of first half but that was it we controlled the second half and never really looked like conceding,bodes well for champions league,oh and I thought Fernandinho was fantastic..
 
Not at our best. Not sure if that's down to Arsenal's tactics, tiredness, or trying to shoehorn KDB into the starting line-up, which didn't really work.

Stones played very well and would be my MOTM.

Always good to win at Arsenal and we fully deserved the 3 points. Onwards and upwards.
