John Stones was immense. Have to say that header away from Ruben from West Ham corner at 2-1 nearly swayed me more towards him. Both fabulous to watch.

Credit to Phil Foden when he came on too he offered alot of balance to the side and their was a maturity about his performance including his two tactical fouls.

Stones for me. But a shout out for Zinchenko who I think is one of our weakest players but who did not put a foot wrong today. Seems Pep had asked him to come inside to help midfield a la Cancelo and he did the job quite well I thought.

Very strange day to day with so many sub-par performances from our boys. I think only Zinchenko, Stones and Dias were anywhere near the level we have come to expect. Still, a win is a win.

My vote goes to Stones for scoring the winner.

Zinchenko pips the two CBs for me. Only player right on his game in possession particularly first half when the rest were off it and did well defensively with Torres leaving him in the shit a few times.

All day long, cool, calm and collected, kept it all together whilst all the rest were losing it, thing is, he does it every season. MotM is not all about a couple of dribbles and crosses, then strolling about.

Worried about the team pre-match. Too many changes. Too many rusty players. Not enough energy for the press. Mahrez lacking the support of big Bernie. Had to rely on the defence to pull one out of the bag.
Anyway the player that impressed with his workrate, intelligent movement without the ball, making himself available for a pass, thoughtful distribution, and for covering the left half of the pitch was Zeenchenka.

As soon as Olex is asked to perform a role he's got qualities for he looks a real player. He could make that role at left back his own with performances like that along with rotation with Cancelo. We just need to find a right back who can do the same so they can take it in turn to overload midfield and we could be as destructive on the right as well as left.
Having said that I went for Johnny massive testicles today.
