Does anyone else think we'll see Jesus leave if this deal goes through. It's pretty much a clear sign to him that he won't ever really be first choice forward.

It's rare that Pep plays two strikers and if he plays just the one then the majority of the time it will be Haaland. You don't sign a player for £100m or so with his reputation and leave him on the bench. Jesus won't be happy to being playing second fiddle to a new signing when it's always been his ambition to replace Aguero. He'll want to guarantee his spot as number 9 for Brazil and that's always at risk when he's not playing weekly for city. No, and I hope not because we need more than one striker and Jesus is a fantastic player to have in the squad. Imagine games with both Jesus and Haaland attacking plus Kev and Sterling and Bernardo running behind them. Defences would be all over the place.

Had a quick check to see if already posted and couldn't find it.

No. We have two players in every position, play 60 odd games every season and Pep rotates. There are also injuries. Also, Jesus can play wide left too. I think he's the perfect player to have alongside someone like Haaland.Does anyone else think we'll see Jesus leave if this deal goes through. If I was a fan of any of those clubs I’d be thinking he is 100% city bound.Lets be honest, there are a handful of clubs/fans who will all feel they can offer him a great deal at a fantastic club. Madrid, Barca, Juve, PSG, Liverpool, united will all be competing for Haaland and as much as we like to think we offer something different, i think realistically we are just another option to him amongst a long list of europes biggest teams. Maybe his connection to City will help us, but i'll be delighted and slightly stunned if we actually do end up getting him.
Chatting to some mates earlier about it in our whats app group (mix of liverpool and united fans) and they think exactly that. Totally demoralises them the thought of City getting Haaland and are all convinced its going to happen. If I was a fan of any of those clubs I’d be thinking he is 100% city bound.
Two rags I know who actually go to games have said if he comes to us everybody else may aswell give up and have resigned themselves to it! Fingers crossed. Imagine social media and sky sports reactions if we did sign him think I’d have to book the day off work to fully enjoy it!Chatting to some mates earlier about it in our whats app group (mix of liverpool and united fans) and they think exactly that. I feel like stronger rumours would've come out by now if he was moving.....He might prefer another season at dortmund with Marco Rose then choose the best mixture of sporting project and wages after the release clause bidding.
Yeah. He'll know where he wants to go when he leaves Dortmund and he will have probably told his Dad who he wants to play for .The links with other clubs just provides him with strong negotiating power when it comes to salary etc. I think he has decided.
