TV Series

I figure though that too many people say it’s awesome, just surprised as it’s not making me interested at all.

It took me 3 attempts at watching the first two episodes. Towards the end of season 1 everything just clicks. It's fucking brilliant if you have the patience. Totally get where you're coming from.

Right, message to all major fans of The Expanse.

I’m 4 episodes into Series 1 and finding it a real struggle, no real understanding of who the fuck is who, no affiliation to any person, nothing feeling clear storyline wise - is this just me, did everyone else find it like this initially? Please someone reassure me!
I was already invested in the TV show before it started as I'd already been reading the books that it's based on. Just had to adjust to the differences made in telling the story on a different medium.

I've been exactly the same mate, tried it 3 times (up to about episode 4) because of what people say on here and the boards I moderate on, and nothing, nothing at all is drawing me in, the characters, the (what seems) confusing and convoluted plots/angles, and like FI, I love Sci-Fi shit, I feel I should like it, I WANT to like it, but this is a real struggle, and I even managed to finish "Raised by wolves".

I originally started it and decided I was done after 3rd episode.

I went back to it a few months after season 1 finished and binged it, realised I was just too impatient first time and it is worth the slow yet convoluted early build up.

I think binging it was my better option tbh.

Best sci-fi series since BSG rebbot

I found that. Then something clicked.

The fact thatcit isn't for me.

So i abandoned it.

Agree, the writing is a little absurd but that is more than made up for by the production values and central performances. Bryan Cranston and the guy that plays the mob boss are particularly good.
He is the least convincing mob boss Ive ever seen. He was better in Boardwalk Empire when he played the exact same role really

Just ‘literally’ started the Terror (paused as I was on a call).
Thought it was a new BBC drama but appears it’s made by AMC (Mad Men was my favourite show).
Looks quite dark & moody (music is perfect) so I suspect I’ll enjoy this...

...re the Terror, I was struggling to recall where I'd the seen the actor who plays Captain Francis Crozier.
Turns our he's Jared Harris (son of Richard Harris) and played Lane Pryce in Mad Men...

He's been in tons of stuff mate. The Crown and Chernobyl are a couple of others.

Woops, I quoted the wrong post.
