Apart from Fern, Gundo and Phil, the rest are too passive.

First 20 minutes was very good, fluid and lively just lacking and end product then we stopped getting foden and Bernardo on the ball as much and started making sloppy errors all over the pitch that disrupted our flow.

Really have to stop giving away so many corners and freekicks as they're a big threat from that.

Overall not bad, looking at their bench and ours I expected us to try and tire them out first half and pounce as they tire, we're primed for that to happen.

This thread is very similar to the Fulham one last weekend. Lots of flapping at HT, when the score was 0-0.

Ancelotti has gone full Mourinho here. Defend deep, pounce on errors, and break fast in numbers.

This is a really difficult type of team to break down. We've done better than we'll get credit for defensively; last season's City would have crumbled a bit here.

Fortunately now that it's halftime Pep can readjust a few things here, I doubt he anticipated this level of bus parking.


We're maybe lacking a bit of creativity. But on the plus side I don't think we're being too impatient and forcing things yet.

Some bang average performances by some players.I wish Jesus wouldn`t continually look for a foul but just get on with the fucking game and as for Sterling (and I say this as a big Sterling fan) another inept performance so far.
For me Ferno has rolled back the years and is having a great game.

We started brightly, but Everton grew into the game and have been well organised. They’re going to be difficult to break down, might need a moment of brilliance to break the deadlock. They look a threat on set pieces.

Don't think any of them are playing badly and Sterling no worse than any other City player. Everton putting a lot of effort into defending.

It’s all a bit meh, isn’t it. For all the stats going in our favour, I actually think Everton look more dangerous going forward. They’re playing for set pieces, and we’re obliging them.

Complete shithousery this Everton side. Started well but since the Allan yellow card it’s been a slog which has suited Everton. Would have started Rodri for his height and we always miss Cancelo’s creativity. Should have enough from the bench to get though though.
