3rd most famous goal

Kolorov v Sunderland at home when 3 - 2 down, without that point wouldn't have been champions.

1. Kun
2. Law
3. Tuart
4. Dickov
5. Pollock

Outside mention for Russell too, although we lost it’s a goal Witnessed live by more city fans than any other goal in our history.

That’s my top five famous city goals, not in order of importance or brilliance but in order of fame and number of times you see them re-played, though Vinnie v united or Leicester are getting more airtime now too

Kit Symons equaliser v Liverpool 1996 to make it 2-2 so saved us from relegation on the last day of the season...

3. King of all geordies. 4.Free kick routine v West Brom in charity shield. 5. Gio. 6. Steve Mackenzie. 7. Niclas Jensen. 8. Phillips v notts county. 9.Vinnies header. 10.SWP with the 4th v rags. could go on and on.......

Not heard about no.8 before.i presume it was a long distance blaster ?
1984/5 season..?

It's a draw between Vinnie and, er, Vinnie. The bullet header v the Rags just on HT. Whenever Vinnie came up for corner I'd always say 'Bullet 'eader, Vinnie, Boom!' Except on that one occasion I didn't, and he did! The other was the pile driver he drilled into the top left hand corner of Schmeicel's net in the Leicester Wild Dingoes game.
