He should stay at West Ham and enjoy his career playing regularly for them and his national team. He has utd in a ridiculous transfer fee written all over him though.
Personally would think it'd be disappointing if he came to us, he's at his level where he is.

Grealish would want the move as well so he will push for it! plus am sure there is a 60m buy out

I can’t imagine Villa will let him go easily or cheaply. Perhaps could be our record fee until we potentially buy Haaland.

how big is big though Ahsan? Haaland obviously would be £90-100m but if we can get Messi he would be free ? How could we sign him in this years accounts and put it through the books if he didn’t sign until the summer window?

I think it’s great that you come on here with so much confidence in your own opinion, good for you!

There hasn’t been a player in the history of football who is 6’4 and is as good in tight spaces as Messi, or David Silva, or Bernardo Silva.

And my view is, that’s the kind of quality in tight spaces that would be ideal for us.

Jaoa Felix has the technique to be that good in tight spaces. Mbappe has the potential to be. I don’t think Haaland does (but that’s only based on what I’ve seen of him and on biomechanics).

Only one with a remote chance would be Palmer, if Mahrez was sold in 2022. DIfficult to see McAtee or even Doyle getting enough minutes

To me a Grealish signing all but ends the Messi to City. In what world do we fit Grealish AND Messi into this line up?

I just wouldn't doubt one of the best coaches in the world to not figure something out with the players he has.

Sorry I think you’ve misunderstood my point.

I’m not saying Pep couldn’t get a rub out of Haaland. That he couldn’t adapt his style to suit him.

I’m saying if we play in the same way we do now, it wouldn’t suit Haaland’s game.

And in my opinion, because we’ve been so successful playing this way, I’d personally prefer us to buy someone ideally suited to slot straight in to that style, than to completely change our style of play to accommodate one (extremely talented) player.

agree with you watching Felix he is silky player with a great touch he likes glides over the ground! He made a big mistake going to AM a 6 year contract as well.. I think we need an out an out goal scorer like Haaland one the best out there to mix it up in the box, like all players though we won’t know how he will fit into a pep team till pep gets hold of him and coaches him...

So I’m assuming you think peak Cristiano Ronaldo (6’2) also wouldn’t have been good for us?

Agree,i think in the main the best we can hope for with our current EDS crop is a transfer with buy back clause.

Yeh all fair points mate.

I’m certainly not anti-Haaland, he’s a brilliant player, an incredible goal scorer.

I just think sometimes being a brilliant player who doesn’t fit the style of the team doesn’t work out for either party. Ibrahimovic at Barca being a good example.

One thing with Pep is he always changes the central tactical concept of his teams each season. They always switch gears and their central thesis, be it here, at Bayern or Barcelona. Even if we were to not sign a single player in the summer, you could expect a different team next season.
