Always love how the MEN put Manchester United first and in full, while we get a Man City in behind haha
He should stay at West Ham and enjoy his career playing regularly for them and his national team. He has utd in a ridiculous transfer fee written all over him though.
Personally would think it'd be disappointing if he came to us, he's at his level where he is.
Haha! Err, yes.Who? Declan Rice?
Would Grealish mean no MessiThere are rumours from the Villa end that City are trying to close a deal during this international break for Grealish. Would SORT OF make sense in that when we have a big spend we tend to split it between financial years, so I'd expect if we're doing Grealish/Haaland, for one of them to come before the end of June.
Makes sense to me, Grealish is 25 (26 in Sept) which gives us leeway bringing through the youth players (loans or odd games) without putting undue pressure on them.

I think it’s great that you come on here with so much confidence in your own opinion, good for you!So you say he’s going to be the next top scorer in Europe over the next 10 years but not suited to Pep... well, if you believe that, then think about the fact that Pep is likely leaving in two years. I don’t how much Dortmund you have watched, but the idea that he never plays or excels against tight spaces and packed defenses is wrong. But as I have already said in this thread, nearly any player outside of the Premier League will come from playing a different style and against different opponents. If anyone thinks that at 20 he can’t adapt, then one has no faith in him at all. Even if he goes to Real Madrid he would be playing a different style that would require adaptation too.
I really like João Felix but sometimes I read stuff on threads here that make me wonder if people have really seen him play a lot. Let’s make an exercise in hypothesis. Let’s go back to the previous stage of the Champions League, Sevilla vs Dortmund and Chelsea vs Atletico Madrid. Let’s trade Haaland for Felix and vice versa. Here’s what I think would’ve happened: Atletico Madrid would’ve gone through and Dortmund would have not. Simple as that
Only one with a remote chance would be Palmer, if Mahrez was sold in 2022. DIfficult to see McAtee or even Doyle getting enough minutesGood luck bringing through any youth players that play 8/wing with Bernardo, Grealish, Gundogan, KDB, Foden, Sterling, Torres, Jesus and Mahrez ahead of them.
To me a Grealish signing all but ends the Messi to City. In what world do we fit Grealish AND Messi into this line up?how big is big though Ahsan? Haaland obviously would be £90-100m but if we can get Messi he would be free ? How could we sign him in this years accounts and put it through the books if he didn’t sign until the summer window?
Sorry I think you’ve misunderstood my point.Pep is the best at devising a plan to get the best out of the players. There is a video in which Pep talks about the differences between the strikers he had at Barca and Bayern. When he went to Bayern he knew he didn't have the players like Xavi, Iniesta and Messi who can play down the middle. So with Lewandowski and Muller he had to put more crosses into the box for them.
I'm not saying Haaland would come or not, but if it's Haaland, Kane or Lukaku, Pep would know what their strengths are and how to play to it. So for example Haaland likes the ball into space. So he might come up with some plan to stretch the opposition. Against West Brom (a team under Fat Sam you'd associate a low block) Cancelo was a deep lying playmaker playing quickly up top. I could also see in the final 3rd Haaland overloads the wing and makes runs inside for someone to play though balls. I mean I've seen Aguero on the left do this at times as well. Pep's mind doesn't stop and no one knows what he's thinking. That's why sometimes the FB's are inverted and the next game they are out wide. I just wouldn't doubt one of the best coaches in the world to not figure something out with the players he has.

There hasn’t been a player in the history of football who is 6’4 and is as good in tight spaces as Messi, or David Silva, or Bernardo Silva.
And my view is, that’s the kind of quality in tight spaces that would be ideal for us.
Jaoa Felix has the technique to be that good in tight spaces. Mbappe has the potential to be. I don’t think Haaland does (but that’s only based on what I’ve seen of him and on biomechanics).
So I’m assuming you think peak Cristiano Ronaldo (6’2) also wouldn’t have been good for us?There hasn’t been a player in the history of football who is 6’4 and is as good in tight spaces as Messi, or David Silva, or Bernardo Silva.

Yeh all fair points mate.agree with you watching Felix he is silky player with a great touch he likes glides over the ground! He made a big mistake going to AM a 6 year contract as well.. I think we need an out an out goal scorer like Haaland one the best out there to mix it up in the box, like all players though we won’t know how he will fit into a pep team till pep gets hold of him and coaches him...
One thing with Pep is he always changes the central tactical concept of his teams each season. They always switch gears and their central thesis, be it here, at Bayern or Barcelona. Even if we were to not sign a single player in the summer, you could expect a different team next season.(...)I’m saying if we play in the same way we do now(...)
