And that is exactly why he won't be signing for us. It's not just him, why would he want to disrupt his wife and kids family life. It's certainly not for the money, not like he needs it. The guy isn't going to move his whole family lock stock and barrel over here for the sake of one more season or CL chance.
The ship has sailed.
Supposedly, he was very ready to do that last season however

Funny to see how the Messi lovers still clutching at straws.
And in their continuing blindness fail to see how our board has been able to guarantee sustained succes. By getting young and hungry players in. That fit our style of play. Not a player that wants the squad transform to suit him.
Yes Messi is still a terrific player. But for an aging Barca that seemingly are willing to bring in Messi’s close friend. One Sergio Aguero.

“Clutching at straws” jesus wept. Sorry that people dare to get excited over one of the greatest ever players coming to City. Most rational people know that it probably won’t happen but give your head a wobble if you can’t just enjoy the fact he could come

This would make sense if he hadn't put in a transfer request last summer, and said his kid was upset but his priority was to be part of a competitive project.

Laporta is a more likely reason for him to stick.

To be honest, I personally don't believe a word he says regarding any transfer. Entirely my own opinion though.

It's over.... news from Pol Ballus..

Ballus was also saying the club would let Sergio decide on his future, just before it was announced we wouldn't be offering him a new contract.

Not that I think Messi is likely to join us now, but just a reminder not to take the word of these charlatans who pose as journalists seriously.
