If the rags draw today it's only 9 points...

We're on 74 points, United are on 57.

The most they can get is 84 if they win ALL of their remaining 9 games.

We only need 11 points from a possible 21 to reach 85 points.

They still have to play Liverpool, Tottenham and Leicester.

There's a good chance that we may already have enough.

Rags have averaged 1.5 pts per game over the last 10 games in the PL, they re now a lot safer for top 4 especially with Chelsea and Leicester losing this weekend, that gives them 13.5 pts over the next 9 games giving them 71 pts, we already have 74 and a massive GD, they have to play Leicester, Spuds and back in form Dippers, they wont get 74 pts.

It still bugs me with every point we get nearer to the title that we didn't turn up for the derby. I know it won't mean anything in the grand scheme of things if we go on and win it but Christ it annoys me!
Only way it's going to bother me is if those 3 points see the rags get top 4 at the expense of anyone but the dippers or spurs.

Sadly, barring a major, and hilarious, meltdown I can't see them finishing anywhere other than 2nd. I think it was more the nature of the defeat rather that the defeat itself that still rankles especially when you see the way we performed yesterday. Anyway, I've survived the last 55 years so I guess I'll get through it!!

How conflicted would be on May the 1st when the rags play the dippers? Could mean we would be cheering on Liverpool for us to be crowned champions. However the other side of it means them winning gets them closer to the champions league spots.
No conflict at all for me, as always when those two meet I'll be cheering on any asteroid that might hit the stadium.

Won’t have to ... it won’t go that far, we’d have won it before then ...

And as for the result between them two ... if it keeps one or both in Europa League next season I’m all for it ... I doubt United would fall off that much but there’s a chance Liverpool sneaks up into 4th so if that’s the scenario I’d rather United win that one then.

I’ve got a sneaky feeling Brighton might get something today, they’re a good side fighting for their lives, a tough game for United.
Same here, they've got so much more fight than utd right now. Depends on how interested utd are and sometimes they can't be arsed when they need to work hard for next to nothing.

Utd 1 - 2 Brighton

It's a tough one for sure.
A draw will do though to aid both causes I would have thought. No good to either side.
