Borussia Dortmund (A) - CL QF | Post-Match Thread

KdB played as a proper leader, never seen him so determined and confident, Phil played as a boy possessing all the footballing talent in the world, but we are properly fucked if Gundo doesn't play in all crucial games to the end of the season. He dictated tempo and direction of the game like Merlin from his peak days. And he's been doing this for almost the whole season. Tonight he was playing a bit further back and still he was immense. Apart from a dodgy, but well executed goal we let them have zero proper chances. Just excellent!

Pep deserves all the credit in the world here
No daft team selection
No players picked on reputation
But that change putting kdb on the left at half time doubling up with foden was a master stroke
Special mention to zinchenko he's saving this club millions on a left back
Up the skinfade Gascoigne
He certainly is and his leap in the air is becoming a feature of his game

It is an offence if a player:

  • deliberately touches the ball with their hand/arm, including moving the hand/arm towards the ball ...

  • touches the ball with their hand/arm when:
    • the hand/arm has made their body unnaturally bigger...
The above offences apply even if the ball touches a player’s hand/arm directly from the head or body (including the foot) of another player who is close.

Except for the above offences, it is not an offence if the ball touches a player’s hand/arm:
  • directly from the player’s own head or body (including the foot)

Ball very clearly hits his arm before his head.

1000% penalty.

Big balls, made up for him.
More impressed with the strike than the size of his balls - he had big balls to take the one at Anfield too :-)

His technique suggests to me that they've decided to go with the percentages: make sure you get it on target and hit it hard to one side and half-way up the goal. If you do that, the goalie might save it, but it would have to be a great save. If you try to get it right in the corner, the chance of missing is too great (as we've seen recently).

Can’t believe we came from behind to win the game - only time I can remember this happening recently was against Cheltenham in the FA cup - let’s hope that’s another monkey off our back.
Mind you I‘d rather we didn’t go behind at all in the games we’ve got coming up......

this Walton guy often gives an opinion and minutes later we always find out the opposite is correct.

Can’t find it anywhere but when was the last time we were losing away at half time and won?

@Blue tiger
We won. Come on and shoot me down. Let that positivity flood out of you.
Get the fuck in the

Don't know what your obsession is in trying to get a reaction me is, but you might want to skip back and read my post from a few pages back. I'm 35 and ain't about to let you ruin what's been a great night, suggest you enjoy a great European result, rather than trying to bait fans of the same club as you. Sad

Look at that Pep, play to yours and your teams strengths and you make it past the quarters. The graft and desire in the second half was superb. Just need to shake the early nerves, we belong here lads
First time I’ve been confident prior to both QF legs because he picked our proper team.

Hopefully the penny’s dropped with him now.
