Chelsea - FA Cup SF | Post-Match Thread

Torres is a mile away. Poor selection from Pep. We should have had one from Foden, Mahrez or Bernardo. To drop all 3 was madness. You don’t throw away Fa Cup semi finals. Very disappointed.
 
Credit to Chelsea. They are a very strong team. Well now we can forget about top 4.
I was hoping Sterling would bust a gut. I hate to hang a player out to dry so I will leave that to the rest of you. Hopefully Kev will be ok.
Now we need to play the same team that played against Dortmund. No more passengers for the rest of the season.

Exactly mate. The way we just hand teams games is bollox.
 
Cba to be angry. Knew it from the line up. that attack just is toothless, Sterling shouldnt play at all this season hes mentally gone. PSG will murder us playing like that. id say well probably win the league. Maybe the cup if he goes full first team 11 if he goes with that team Tottenham will win.

Changes seriously need to be made in the summer, maybe try Palmer instead of Sterling. Torres looks a compleatly different player to what i watched in spain when he was at Valencia. Haaland is needed desperately in the summer. a new attack really. defence is sorted.

Our worst performance of the season. Too many players failed to step up. Despite the constant media hype about the strength of our squad surely most of us deep down know we have plenty of flaws. We still have not resolved the back-up full back position on both sides for starters. It has been an amazing season in many ways and we should still end up with at least two trophies but a lot of players went missing today. No excuse because they didn't play midweek.

Sterling needs to go back to reserves and learn to control the ball. Mahrez should always be starting above him.
Mendy is absolutely comical.
Cancelo was shocking too.

Dreading the next ones. Can’t see us beating Spuds like this or PSG.
We seem incapable of changing players that know the system, yet seem to not give a fcuk.

We deserved to get beat, and were lucky it was only 1.
 
Well that was a load of muck.
Disappointed but to be honest Imo we were lucky to go in goalless at the break.
2nd half didn't see any major improvement, thought we looked a little brighter when Phil came on but well below the level of performance we usually see.

As much as it hurts now dust ourselves down and go again midweek.

If you don’t play to win your side deserve to lose and I’m sorry to say it but Pep got the tactics completely wrong. I genuinely believe he’s not bothered whether he wins the league cup or the FA cup as they both carry the same weight to him....but he doesn’t care for both...one is enough. He wants a domestic cup, a PL title, and the CL. For him that’s the holy trinity.

For most of the fans we want domestic dominance. The FA, League cup, and the PL.....the CL is nice to have.

Unfortunately the club don’t want what we do.....so we’ll see if the team can acheive it
 
Meh. Leeds type performance again. So many poor to average performances. Raz is shot for this season. Mendy offered zip. Worst cancelo performance for ages. Can’t say we were knackered with eight changes. Dortmund the more important result I feel. Hope Kev is ok.
 
The only way we ever had any chance at the quad is if the squad players did their job. Sadly they havent been anywhere near the standard required, amd with KdB limping off hopefully this game hasn't had a bigger impact than it should have.

Feel bad for Mendy, he is not a footballer anymore and should not be hung out to dry and forced to pretend he is one.

Sterling need to figure out whatever the fuck he has to figure out, my opinion is and has been for a while that we should be ruthless and cash in on him.

Dont like to be negative towards Pep attacking signings in their first season since they usually need a season to come good but fail to see how Ferran deserve as much as a minute in a semi-final.

Get the league won, try to reach something close to our best against Paris and then refresh the team in the summer. The truth is without the purple patch after christmas we would be looking at a very average season, but result and trophy-wise it still has potential to be phenomenal
 
Some of this bilge is utterly ridiculous. We have just lost a semi final one - nil to one of the best teams in Europe. We played poorly in a poor game with barely any chances for either side. Get a grip people. On to the Villa game.
