How many trophies will we win?

Isn’t that sort of what you should be setting out for,we take the piss out of the red scousers for ditching the cups over league and champions league,but all this talk of quadruple’s surely has a wearing down effect,fantastic to have been challenging for all 4 trophies at this stage of the season,but league champions league first then cups as a bonus..
 
Premier League and EFL Cup double will be great from where we were in December.

We have probably the best team in Europe in the semis of the CL, anything could happen over two legs. but any success we have in that is just an added bonus, brilliant for the club’s stature, bringing money in and the players’ careers, but again anything could happen.
 
If Liverpool limp over the top 4 line on the last day of the season, you can guarantee there’ll be wall to wall coverage on Sky Sports News on how well Klopp has done, yet they’ll finish the season without a pot to piss in.
We all know the “Quadruple” narrative by the media was put there to be able to knock us down when it inevitably failed. No team is entitled to win ANY trophy, to win a League plus one of any other trophy has to go down as a successful season, surely?

Yes, holding the view that we were in a battle for top four in December was not unreasonable.

If you win the Premier League in any season then it's a great campaign. Anything else is a bonus. For that reason, I will support the manager going full tilt on Wednesday and again the following Wednesday. If the League Cup slips away then so be it. In a year when so few people can attend the final and those who do have to jump through hoops, I can't see anyone's summer being ruined if we don't win it (so long as we bring back the title). To this end, I'm happy to support the manager if he thinks a weakened team in the League Cup increases our chances of getting a result in Paris. For all that the people who run City have given us these past 13 years, I'm happy to back their commitment to leave no stone unturned in pursuit of European glory.

Win the league and all will be well regardless of anything else that happens.
 
i think the league is going to get scary and very nervy
villa on weds is a big big game now,get through that and we will win the league,lose and its getting edgy but i think we will win the league ,and that will be all we win
hope im wrong,just my gut feeling.
 
League and Carabao cup I feel, still a fine season, but the league will go to the last couple of games of the season until it's decided
 
Like all City fans over 30 I have dreamed of winning the quadruple since I was old enough to know what it is.

It's the marker we all set, many years ago, and anything else is not good enough.

We bottled the Lyon game, but have cruised through this season.

PSG tough game, but at our best very winnable.

Im 55 and never ever dreamed
of us winning the quad
id never even thought about it till it was being mentioned this year

Exactly. It's a good example of how the media works in this country.

It's pretty unlikely any team is going to be able to compete in all 4 competitions. It's often detrimental to try which is why most managers choose to bow out in the early rounds.

It's sometimes easier to go for the CL, for example, if you're 4th in the league and know you aren't going to win it.

But you set the marker so high that anything else can be then sold as a disappointment.

Eg: Man Utd can beat Burnley 10-0 today. Then when they don't you can sell it as a disappointing result even if they win.
