Very different to the Leeds one, Cooper threw his whole body into that one, and it was a two footed challenge effectively. Clearly excessive force. Stones was trying to kick to ball and was marginally late.

I can certainly see that side, I'm not one to mindlessly defend City, I just don't think that kind of foul should be a sending off offence. The Leeds one last week wasn't the same. the guy followed through after his challenge to plant his boot in, this one it looks like stones is still in the process of attempting the clearance when he catches him.

It's done now anyway have to get on with it. There's enough on that pitch to see this out if we have the right mentality.
