I don't think either the UK or Scotland envisage or would want a hard border, but I suppose if an independent Scotland wish to pursue EU membership then the EU would insist?
It’s what happens when you enter a Customs Union. There needs to be a border with all countries outside it otherwise it doesn’t work.
The way Brexit’s going we'll be rejoining the CU and SM before the Scots get independence even if we don’t rejoin the EU.

Yes terrible isn't it. Now the impact of brexit is so clear maybe it's worth starting a nice positive rejoin thread? I try my best to inject a bit of positivity to the brexit / EU thread by popping in every morning and trying to cheer folk up with a few 'likes' for their efforts, but maybe we should move on and look at rejoining.

no, if we go back to rejoin we'll be demanded to go all the way in. We just need a more reasonable government who will have a more constructive relationship, with inevitable concessions but protecting us from full integration which the alternative of rejoining would provide

Sorry mate I disagree. I think the half in / cherry picking approach led to us always being a sort of fringe protest mvt. We need to be fully in to get the full benefits and to end the circular in/out debate.

No you pop in and like every post just to take the piss. Just like you’re doing here. Hope you’re enjoying yourself.

That's rather mean spirited. I think rejoining has a lot going for it, and is a more positive and constructive outlet for our disappointment at brexit. To get back on topic, it would also make Scottish independence either less likely, or less fraught with difficulty if we were all back fully in the EU.

Re they doing polls here every hour or something? Feels like every 5 minutes news are running with new poll claims.

I thought Sturgeon was great on the British Broadcasting Conservatives, with their ace Tory loving propagandist Marr, trying his very very best for his party.

If only the ugly little **** was as vociferous going after the real cunts in our midst. But, we will never see that from the BBC. Or Murdoch, another scumbags, Sky.

If we don't go for Indy now with these, in your face thieves and bastards, we never will. Anyway Marr, mission failed, return to your House to get six of the best from the grandee's. You utter fucking traitor.

The whole misinterpretation of the word ''Sovereignty'' was about strengthening the UK s borders (thats not what sovereignty means but its what the racists thought it meant). Now that the EU wants to harden their borders with the UK to protect their ''level playing field and standards'' every Brexiteer is up in arms about it.

Why would they want us back ? .... its a bit like trying to define the benefits of Brexit... there are none.

Tbh I've long said that attitudes to a border with Scotland expose the hypocrisy of both leavers and Remainers in equal measure. They basically both adopt the opposite position re an independent Scotland.

Plenty wanted Brexit and would be fine for Scotland to decide their own future. The only problem I see at moment is the timing but if it's the will of the people and they want a change now fair play.

Well hopefully today we vote in numbers for parties who support Indy. There is a lot of talk of tactically using our 2nd List Vote to ensure we return these parties, although the SNP is urging both to them, even though the way votes and seats are allocated means they can lose seats to Labour and Tories on the list. People need to decide depending on where they live. The Unionist parties have as usual fought a negative, we are too poor, too stupid campaign. With Dross the new leader of the Haggis Tories a fucking useless balloon making a **** of himself every time he opens his gammon living mouth. Come on Scotland, be at least the one part of the country who see the Tories and Labour for what they are. Utter useless cunts. Hopefully the rest of the UK delivers a kick in the balls to the Tories......I won't hold my breath though. It seems seeing through Tories is beyond too many of our English friends.

There have been so many polls with somewhat different predicted results it is hard to know what to expect. Either way and whatever the number combinations, prettybsafe to assume who will form the next government, be it with a majority or just short of one
