I groaned when he came on, thinking Laporte would be more dependable. Actually, i don’t recall seeing better footwork from Zinny in all his time with us.
By the way, he cost us £1.8m!!
 
What I love from our team, there is no real star. This is not KDB team, or Foden's team. This is Pep's team, and we win or lose as a team.

I don't know what Pep told them at HT, but without any sub, the team was just so different. That + Zin incredible focus, link-up play made us unplayable. If you add to that Dias,Stones and Walker superb defense...

I said we were having the champion's luck, and again we were lucky. A 1-1 would've been fair, and our two goals are a mistake from Navas(which in UCL is super super rare) and a mistake from their barrier.

This title is ours. I feel it.
 
I said last week that PSG are entally weak - as good as players like Neymar are (world class) Di Maria etc if things dont go their way their heads go.....

They were the better team in the first half for most of it but once we stepped up the pitch int he second half right at the start we started to dominate them

Pep also seemed to shift fodens position and he was more involved centrally and KDB seemed slightly deeper which for me is where he is more effective...first half, KDB wasnt in the game.

We got lucky with the first goal (though we earnt that luck by dominating them).....great free kick for the second....

Bernardo Silva ran his bollocks off tonight and Foden grew with confidence ......Walker showed Mbappe what pace really is on a couple of occasions .......
Mahrez grew into the game after a very quiet first half

Great result but its not over.....we need to keep them out in the first 20-30 mins next week...do that and control the start of the game they will get more desperate and leave spaces

Edit: PSG act like spoilt brats and cheat more than most other teams (maybe not as bad as Madrid)...Neymar and Di Maria in particular go down at the slightest touch.
 
That was unbelievable second half. Proud other boys. Won’t be greedy, 1-2 is great result. Half time it is. Get an early goal please next week.
 
Fantastic result. Stuck to our game plan and the second half was dominant and total control.

Whatever was said at half time did the trick. Two away goals is just perfect.

Now let's win the PL match and let the wannabes fight each other for a draw.

Yes but also it would have been foolish to leave ourselves open against the break.
 
Never has a game of two halves been more apt. Brilliant, pity we didn’t get the third, next week will be great they have to come at us, so lots of space behind.
 
It's only half time in the tie, but we kept our cool in the first half & dominated PSG in the second. I can't praise our boys enough. A thoroughly enjoyable match with several MoTM performances.

Mahrez, Gundog, Walker, KDB, Foden, Silva, Stones, Dias, Zinchenko & Rodrigo were absolutely brilliant. It's like City finally arrived in the latter stages of the Champions League, where previously we've choked it.

We've just gotta keep our heads. They're capable of scoring against us, but likewise we're capable of tearing them a new arsehole. Roll on next Tuesday. :-)
