You have to be able to defend one on one but the secret to City's strong defence is that we dominate possession. Kane, Son, Moura rarely had contact with our back 4. I think Henry WInter is a little foolish to make this claim for the SPurs match. Against PSG though our defence worked well in the 1st half when we had no control over the game (apart from first 10 mins).

If I had to pick an outstanding defensive player it would be Ederson for his fantastic passing out of defence. We pressed them really hard at goal-kicks. They couldn't do that. Also Walker was superb with his recovery runs.
