How far do we think Arsenal can fall?

Tonight pretty much guarantees no European football at all for the first time since 1995.

Can West Ham, Wolves, Everton, Spurs and Leicester put themselves ahead of Arsenal permanently and make them genuinely midtable?
How much spending money do they have?

United have been run like a shitshow for the best part of 8 years, but having money and access to top players has meant that they're always a stone's throw away from the top. If they finish 2nd this season then that'd make 3 out of 4 season where they finish in the top 3. In two of the 4 years they haven't made the top 4 since Ferguson retired, they won silverware too.

So if Arsenal have money, then they'll stick around and eventually worm they way back up. Unless they've fallen far enough that they'll always be SOME overachieving side that can outdo them.

The problem is they've been out of the CL for 5 consecutive seasons now (including 21/22), and now not even Europa League.

United never missed the CL for more than 1 season before bouncing back.

Financially that makes a really big difference. And the problem is that with Liverpool, United, Chelsea and City all competitive they aren't going to get back in any time soon even if they get back ahead of West Ham, Villa, Spurs, Leicester.

And every season they stay out, the gap gets bigger and bigger.

I think we might be seeing the beginning of a serious slide into midtable mediocrity.

Arteta comes across as a nice bloke but whether he's going to make it as a top manager is anybody guess. There are times they look like they're making progress and others when they look terrible. While understanding why he took the chance of taking the job I'm still pissed off he upped and left us mid season so I have no sympathy for the man.

As for Arsenal it's great seeing them suffer, long may it continue. They have been one of our biggest critics since our takeover and have conspired with others to ruin us. I pray the same happens to the despicable red tops too. Throw Spurs into the mix and it's happy days.

Kroenke doesn't care about winning trophies/titles, but losing out on European football is gonna hurt financially. Reckon Arteta will be gone come end of season.
