Chelsea (H) | Post-Match Thread

No sorry I won’t make that my last post...Everyone is entitled to an opinion and it was an emotional day. Something might have gone horribly wrong for him to chip it back to the keeper when that pen would have won the league.. he’s never done that before as far as I remember he hasn’t done it. I was just thinking that Pep wouldn’t excuse that sort of shit penalty

If I’ve upset a few blues then yeah I’m sorry but it doesn’t seem to sit right

Blue for 40 years so I don’t post lightly
He has scored like that a few times for us.

Of course but no need to give him a practice match 3 weeks before the final.

This sounds like we will smash them with our strongest eleven mentality and already have the win in the bag.

I wished I have the same faith, but for me today was our chance for a practice match against an unknown competitor. Not the other way around.

I trust in Pep to put a lot of work from today up to the final to come up with plans, but today at least made him realise certain thinking beyond our comprehension.

Today on here has proved that we have developed some of the most spoilt, childish, glory hunting ‘fans’ going. We made 9 changes against a near full strength Chelsea team in a game that meant next to nothing seeing as the title is all but won. And if we’d have got the pen we should have at the end or Sergio didn’t have a brain fart we’d have won. We’ve already won a cup, have 99% won the league and are in the champions league final and knob heads on here are calling players cunts and saying the team is a disgrace. No dick heads - you’re the embarrassing ones. Yeh I was pissed off we lost but no more than we’d lost a friendly.
The title is not won till its won. We of all people should know that.

Best thing I can say about this game is that several players have absolutely guaranteed they won’t be anywhere near the starting 11 in three weeks time, looking at you Mendy and Aguero. That certainly makes things easier for Pep.

We are gonna win the league, in all likelihood before we even kick a ball again and we will be deserved winners, but what a fuck up that was on the stroke of half time. The first time in ten years when he wanted it to be about him than about the team. Sad to see.
Worse was the way he had a go at Sterling for ‘stealing’ his goal

Tiago, Chilwell, Harvetz, Mount
yep 4 quality players. Tuchel got it spot on today, didnt play his strongest but still put out a strong side. Ours was basically a second string. Absolutely shocking from Pep.

Although disappointed that we often tend to make things more difficult than necessary, I'm not overly worried about today. Nine changes including a formation change wasn't ideal against a top 4 team who are on a good run. I'd be very suprised if Kun would have elected to take a pen like that at 1-0 if there was a stadium full of fans, and can only surmise that he was still a bit miffed over not scoring the first (judging by his lack of celebration with Sterling), and wanted to prove a point. This was bad decision making on his part and also a bit selfish towards the team.

Nevertheless, I don't think the result will have any bearing on the CL final. Both teams and managers are experienced enough to know that this is a huge one-off game, and previous meetings between the two sides will count for nothing. Everyone who's picked for the final will need to be on the top of their game.

If that pen had gone in he would have looked a genius. He made a wrong decision, he should have buried it and made it 2-0. He didn't so we move to next game. I'm miffed as I want the league sewn up ASAP. Hopefully the rags loose tomorrow and we win it. I just don't want those giddy rag bastards getting closer!

I have always found it ironic that Pep rarely makes any changes in game.

But when he rotates he just goes right of the common sense scale making 8,9, changes.

Even changing how we play,to make us even more shit.

We literally had no midfield today.

Wtf was that all about ?

I hear Pep studies all the Stats on every game.

How the fuck has he not seen the obvious common denominator with every defeat ie :excessive rotation of first team players for inferior squad replacements.

You could literally bet your mortgage on us losing every time he does this.

We dont even play again until next Friday.

Now the players he rested today, will all need to be played at Newcastle.

I don't get Pep, brilliant as he is, he's cost us a FA Cup final place and an easier title win by pissing about with multiple changes and strange tactics and using out of form players all too regularly.

I don't believe professional footballers can't play 4 days after the previous game, play the best inform team until nothing depends on it.

Two defeats to Chelsea in month gives them loads of confidence for the champs league final, and doubts in our players minds that Chelsea have the system and tactics to do us.

You know why I’m fuming pal because it only takes a couple of mistakes, shit decision or an inspired performance by the opposition and you can lose 3 games. Arrogant to assume otherwise. Pick your best team til it’s won. Win today could’ve rested who he wanted.

We wont be smashing anyone. The final is going to be a hell of a tough game, and we'll have to be at our absolute best to win it.

Ole will still rest his players for europa final of course it wouldve been easier decision for him if had we won today

Aston Villa (A)- decent team and hopefully they will get something
Leicester (H). - normally id say a Leicester win but they have been awful recently....
Liverpool (H)- - who knows,......Id say Utd win

IF they were to win all 3 they would be 4 pts behind us before we play Newcastle - that would add a bit of pressure indeed
On the upside 2 of them have something to play for.
