Chelsea (H) | Post-Match Thread

For me, this result irrevocably severs the relationship I had with this club.

I am through with supporting City as I am simply not interested in corporate footballl when it entails playing a deliberately weakened side in this manner. This is what Colin Schindler wrote warned us about.

From now on I will follow local non-league sides near me. Couldn’t give a fuck about either the premiership or champion’s league if it gets won like this.
Sniff Sniff. Nice try raggie

I’m not going to blame Pep for our performances on the pitch. That’s on this group of players, and it’s clearly an attitude problem not talent

But he seems to struggle with just getting things over the line this season. Just play a side to get the damned thing won. No more false pretences about “we’re only interested and fully focussed on the next game”. Clearly that’s no longer the case? Just last week he was saying the PL is the most important title of all...

It’s like we’re at the final kilometre of a marathon, and we’ve decided to walk for a bit. Either arrogant, complacent or overly cautious

Then you use your squad.
We used it today so we don’t need to be forced to use it in the important game. We lost but I really not too bothered we’ll win the league and our players for the champions league have had a good recovery from Tuesday. All looking good.

The reaction from some City fans on here tonight is possible the worst, most spoilt, most self entitled bullshit I've ever seen from some so called blues

Fuck me... I was watching the video footage this week of when we got relegated to division 3 as it was exactly 23 years to the week between the worst and greatest days in city's history. To a man the city end clapped the players off singing we'll support you ever more

But then some of you pricks wouldn't have a clue about that as either you weren't born or weren't city fans. Just fuck off and support somebody else... you're not welcome and not wanted

Of course it doesn't, what would you prefer a funny tweet, he's a legend and humble enough to tell the world he fucked up, bravo sergio you owe us one more special moment on the 29th
I love Sergio as much as any blue on here. Am just having a joke on that tweet that's all

I managed to avoid the result in a likely lads type way as I was working, just finished watching it and it was a bit wank to say the least. Too many players were rubbish and pep had a mare as well with that bizarre line up and formation.

1st goal awful touch by Serg
Penalty which probably wasn’t oh dear
Sterling’s ineptitude at controlling a ball in the modern game means a penalty should have been given. Was mighty close to being sent of mind.

Chelsea much better than us second half.

It seems playing players out of form or fitness in a different formation with loads rested(Dias apart for some unknown pep logic) isn’t likely to produce a good performance. Hardly a surprise.

The majority of us are just very frustrated today. Most of us saw the team and knew we were in trouble. The other posters seem happy because they feel Pep did the right thing in changing the team so drastically.
There are arguments for both opinions but we all should respect those that disagree with our opinion.
After all we all love City don’t we?

All I can say is.....

Aguero....

The audacity to have a go at Sterling for ensuring the ball was in the back of the net, and then ....... that!!!! I love Aguero, has been a hero for a decade. He should not wear a city shirt again this season. I want to cry at the level of arrogance, after everything.
Aguero will play a big part in the C/L final, make no mistake.
Furthermore he absolutely, unequivocally has earned the right to play in that match.

Making that many changes will never result in anything good coming out if it but at least we now know we are carry a lot of average players .
