Who’s gone in the summer?

Mendy has to go.

Probably not even controversial anymore but if we could get decent money for Sterling I would sell him.

Especially with him wanting a pay increase.

The only problem is, I am not sure who we would bring in to replace him? Grealish?
Mendy freed or loan with us paying a very large % of his wages, whatever, he has to go, enough is enough.

If we go to tge big striker haaland, and delap a similar player stepping in I can definitely see Jesus or sterling going. Think pep will again evolve our way of playing
Both still can really contribute. Cancelo would be more likely although he should be given one more chance.

A few months ago most people were gushing how good Cancelo was and how vital he was to the squad, now we're talking about selling him? Most of our squad has contributed one way or the other to get us were we are right now. We are on the verge of winning a league and CL double. We were also close to winning FA cup even last year where we were not as good we still had good chances in FA and CL. We'll likely replace Sergio and Fernandinho but that's about it for me. Even Mendy can stay for me although I'd prefer a replacement. We are not too shabby. We've been far and away the best team in England the past 4 years save for the that unfortunate blip from the Dippers.

Many teams would love to have hat partnership........Besides,we have at least 3 EDS lads who are very promising, plus Sandler is beginning to look like the player we took a chance on before injury besieged him.

You are creating an issue, where there isnt one.
So possibly losing Laporte and replace him with untried players, not good and not acceptable.

I don't think we'll sell anyone this summer. Dinho and García are both leaving at the end of their contracts, but other than that, I think we'll pretty much run it back next year with the same squad, maybe with one or two additions and some players from the academy getting more chances in the cups.

I really want Jesus and Sterling to exit, because if they do, then we have serious wonga to spend, and we will be buying elite.
They are both done here, we’ve seen their best, and we can buy better. Gutted we didn’t take a chance on Werner actually, seen as though we are the buyout kings.

Scored less than Jesus this season, less technical ability and less able to play as central striker.

There are some that can’t grasp the fact that an EDS kid being stand out fantastic doesn’t make them good enough to step in and replace a proven and experienced player in one of the best teams in Europe.
An EDS kid being absolutely brilliant gets them to train with the squad where they can hope to prove themselves over a couple of seasons, pick up a bit of game time here and there and learn from the experience.
It takes time and they need to earn it.

Edit; I’ve just read that back and it sounds a bit preachy. I‘m sorry about that and I must emphasise that it was just my opinion and not some established scientific fact. I just put it across badly was all.

I can’t believe some of the names I’m reading people want to get rid of on ere, just a few names I’ve plucked out of the thread...Mahrez Raz Jesus, with Sergio also on his way, amounts to 80% of our attack, people flip their lid when Pep makes multiple changes to the team but some want to shift half the squad! A potential treble winning squad at that...Pep may feel it’s time for a small rebuild but the overhaul some are suggesting is crazy, a champions league win will help recruitment from every angle in terms of names & numbers, let’s win that and go from there

I don’t think Jesus will be going anywhere, and nor should he. It’s bad enough losing Aguero, we can’t have a squad with no striker at all, that would be utterly ridiculous. Even if we sign Haaland (hopefully!) or Kane, we still must keep Jesus; we can’t play 60 odd games with one striker in the squad.

Garcia needs to go, he’s shit, too small and doesn’t want to be here any longer.
Mendy not good enough, don’t know if we can shift him though.

I hope Fern stays another season.

We‘d be mad to let Sterling go after one poor season by his standards.

I can't see both Sterling and Jesus leaving, but I could potentially see one going if there was the right person to replace them.

I‘m with you, I suspect that Sterling will go if the right offer comes in.
He’s a marvellous athlete, he’s been great for us and will, I’m sure, be great again but he seems to have plateaued under our system.
Works his socks off but doesn’t get the breaks as often nowadays because what he does is now so well known that tactics are employed to keep him from being effective.

I also suspect that he’s had enough of being subject to niggly fouls every game but the refs giving him nothing whatsoever. I recon he’ll go abroad and rip it up somewhere else in a different system of play.

Mendy and Garcia are the only ones I can see leaving this summer.

I'm hoping we'll offer Fernandinho a one year extension.
