Bit of a moan....but I do find it tiresome to keep hearing on Sky Sports about 98/99 whenever we win the league title. yes, I can understand it being mentioned after winning our first PL title in 2012. Then occasionally referenced thereafter. However, with the way SKY Sports have been reporting in the last 18 hours or so, it's as if we are defined by our stay in the third tier. It was just one year of the club's existence.
Yeah I'm sick of that from, especially Rag, mates too. They always include "where you've come from" meaning the 3rd tier. Conveniently ignoring any "history" before that.

Those cunts were in Div 2 in the first season I really remember and when I went to my first game, 1974 and I was 9. They were basically shit from about 70 onwards, bar a couple of FA Cups, until the Piss Can arrived.

We were better than them for all of my, and their, formative years!

It just shows how ingrained the thought of them being top dogs is, in their own tiny minds, and leads to this mythical "United Way" bollocks.

My standard reply is that things go in cycles. They had their turn, now they can fuck off.

I`d like to thank united for playing a weakened team last night and handing us the title.
i would also like to thanks them for gifting us the 80 points we already had on the board.
a big thanks ...
I'd like to thank their fans for causing them to have to field a weakened team! If they'd been able to play on the correct date they wouldn't have fixture congestion. Mind you the little person who is their manager blames the FA when really he should be blaming their fans. But thank you the whatchamacallit team's fans!!

I get what you mean but on a personal level I am proud that we fought our way from there to where we are today. I can guarantee that not one non-city fan back then would have ever thought it possible. As unlikely as many city fans would have thought it possible many of us (including myself) would dreamed it.

I understand life doesn't revolve around social media but it's weird to see complete silence from Bernado when it looks like all other players have posted those champions graphics.

Edit: he's the one I was looking forward to most posting something

Just for you mate

Edit: just noticed the coffee machine behind him, he loves a brew doesn’t he

About 12 years ago the company I worked for had the staff conference the top guy loved a good theme day so he came up with the idea of taking a plane ride into the future he was a spurs fan and a good bloke but the outcome was he predicted every single thing that has happened except he said we'd buy Rooney it's crazy.

As many alluded to, if we'd settled the league on Saturday, the Chelsea post match thread would have been considerably less. As it stands, this one is at 130 & climbing.

Now we need to focus our attention on the Champions League Final, & cease & desist from counting post pages... :-)
I get that, it just never fails to amaze me.

F’in BRILLIANT … note the coffee machine in the background !

Bernardo, you son are turning in to a City legend !

It's a shame not one pundit has the balls to call out the 'protest' for the sham that it was. If the anti Glazer feeling was that strong, why was there no protest before the Roma game, which was the closest home game to the Super League announcement. Why was there no protest before last night's match? They've been owned by the Glazers for 16 years, Ferguson even praised them as owners... Although he would, seeing as his fall out with Magnier and McManus over the Rock of Gibraltar horse led them to sell the club to the Glazer's in the first place!

The 'protest' was just a pathetic excuse to stop their nightmare scenario of Liverpool beating them and us securing the title as a result. As for OGS criticising the FA for the fixture pile up, his head is going to explode soon with the mental gymnastics he's trying to perform. The reason is the behaviour of their fans and the club staff who were filmed letting them in the stadium. Other clubs shouldn't have to change their fixtures because of that, they were lucky the game wasn't forfeited and the points awarded to Liverpool.
