Erling Haaland

The only problem I have with signing Haaland, is it will surely lead to more United fans falling out of love with the game and finding something else to watch from their sofa?

This is happening more and more, and the more I hear of it, the more it puts a dampener on my enjoyment of City’s brilliance.

Won’t somebody think of the suffering United fans!?
Personally speaking, I love to think of the suffering United fans.

This is another gem of a post to add to the list.
First of all, the issue with Mbappe in this window isn’t money, it’s a diplomatic matter, they would never in a million years negotiate him with us.
“Dias made him ineffective” lol. Then I guess Neymar and Mbappe are also useless players? Football isn’t about a CB against a forward anymore, it’s system vs system. For your information, Haaland has already scored “against VVD” when he was at Salzburg, 4-3 game against Liverpool at Anfield. He came from the bench and scored. He is a big game player. Has scored against every opponent he’s faced in the Champions League except us. Has scored everytime he’s played against Bayern for Dortmund. Etc etc.
Lol. Haaland is a very good player but he fired three blanks in the internationals before the shut out against us. Why would we jeopardise our success since overcoming UEFA and FFP for a bunch of Haaland fan boys on Blue Moon.

I don't think we are that close in signing Haaland but there was nothing wrong with the goals he had scored in the the DFB final. And yes I do want City to sign him but again this isn't going to be straightforward.

In what way is it closer to coming to fruition, what have I missed?

I don’t want to respond for Centurions, but it’s just what Tolmie has been reporting, the new reports and as has been mentioned, the fact he keeps not being linked with any other club. But nothing concrete should be expected before the UCL final

There are 100 reasons why we want him and why he is best for us.
But there is one thing I fear if we don't sign him, is him signing for another PL club
That can be a difference between our utter domination for next decade and a tough competition such is his quality
I will always remember our balking over VVD fees from Southampton was a difference between a shit Liverpool and the one with a PL and a UCL title
If it is bidding war, the only one who has the finances to match City is surely Chelsea ?

His physical attributes allow him to turn a shit, nothing ball into a goal here.

Pretty much any other striker is not scoring from there, because they don't have the speed and strength to just change direction straight at Upamecano and just shrug him off.

The real brilliance of the goal is the calmness he shows to not take it with his right foot, but turn back on to his left, despite it being the quickest and easiest option, even with a player grounded and in his eye line.

I'd argue it's not his calmness but one-footedness :)
