Rose to every big game occasion, made up for him that he gets to play in a Champions League final. He well and truly deserves it.

Not enough credit for the complete lock down of his side over the two legs nulified Mbappe's pace and shutdown Neymar to the point he had to go elsewhere to even get on the ball. Completely unique in this side and impossible to replace. Let's pray he keeps his pace for many years yet.

Does anyone have a clip of when he made a real mug out of Neymar? It was near the end, around 85 minutes. He ran forward, turned, and then Neymar went flying.

One thing I noticed early on actually - maybe 30 minutes or so 1 - there was a 60/40 in Neymar's favour and he gave up trying to get it. He didn’t want it with Walker at all last night.

The short backheel was a bit of a brainfuck and he has to thank Zinchenko for that eventual block, but it would definitely feel harsh to criticise him because of that. Keeping Neymar (and Mbappe in the first game) and co. quiet throughout two games is by no means a given.
