SPORT OPTIONS & SPIKE - CLF - UPDATE TUESDAY 18 MAY @ 9PM

Does anyone know if you fly via another country do you still have to isolate when you get back even if you don’t leave the airport? Sorry if that’s a stupid question

Yep.

If you transit via an amber or red country coming back, you'll be subject to amber or red arrival restrictions (home isolation and hotel isolation respectively)
Not leaving the airport has no influence over this.

Cheers mate. Think I will give the magical mystery tour a miss then

By now there must be 4,000 City & Chelsea fans arriving in Porto independently as there is no official alternative. If the decree is that match tickets will only be available to those on official trips, those 4,000 will be watching the games unsegregated in bars in Porto having spent the day on the pop. Is this a scenario they want?

This whole thing is a true fiasco... one statement from city so far which said absolutely nothing .... no Sign of any club trips, tickets etc, meanwhile flights now approaching 600 quid as people start becoming desperate to be there. Embarrassing but not surprising.

Chelsea issued the same statement a couple of days ago,so if they want everyone in and out same day,12000 fans in the airport at the same time,no social distancing, bused to and from the airport,50 to a bus equates to 240 buses,so where they going to get the buses, park the buses etc,at the airport, the fan zones, the stadium, all seems pie in the sky to me,might be wrong though

To be fair buses are designed to do more than one trip they pick people up drop them off and return for more. And Portugal has plenty of tourist buses not overly busy just now. I'm more worried how they think they're going to segregate the airport.

They are,but imagine waiting at the airport for say 3 hours for a bus

Thats my thoughts exactly, I think some have been watching too much SKY/BBC

Sorry if this has already been asked - pretty sure it hasn't.
@spike144 - is there any plan to team up with a test provider? I notice TUI, Ryanair etc are doing that kind of thing.

I recon they will take us to 2 different places on the outskirts of town with a few burger vans and porta loos and call it a fans park , then bus us to the match then bus one set bk to the fans park where we will hang around till the other set of fans have gone .
Are there restrictions on times you can land at Manchester? This could play a part in how long we be hanging around.

Be a day for comfortable footwear

Nightmare scenario is unfolding....travel is allowed so Sport Options trip can go ahead and no refunds....but match tickets only available through the club trips...

I hope I am wrong.

Far too much bed wetting going on on here
The club said “Offering” they can offer all they want
Doesn’t mean you have to take them up on their “Offer”
They “offer” organised packages on every euro away
Appreciate this is exceptional circumstances based on the last years shitshow
Portugal is open it’s all over the news

What are they going to do for City fans who live in Portugal or Spain then?
