Harry Kane

Well Levy is going to want £100m+ for Kane

As some have said, he has now had enough and its now or never for him in terms of winning titles etc.

Kane is a talent, and a natural scorer no doubt. If we did end up signing him he will get my full support.

But my only concern is around his ankle which can knock him out for a spell - no one will be happy for a £100m+ signing to have spells on the treatment table throughout the season - it may not play out like that, but that is just my personal reservation on Kane

The rags will surely go full pelt for him as well, they will treat this the same way they did sanchez, wanting to keep him out of our clutches. They have re-signed a 34yr old cavani tho, but they didnt need to stump up a transfer fee for him.

The issue is the transfer fee, surely the fee Levy will command would secure Haaland - but the flip side is has Haaland already informed us he intends to go elsewhere

Kane has put himself in the shop window for a reason - no one can be sure why but, my best is guess he’s either trying to put pressure on Levy (maybe Levy is choosing not to recall the gentleman’s agreement) or Kane knows he has limited options - us, Chelsea or the Rags and knows they are shopping elsewhere. From a City perspective I’d guess Haarland is the number one option but we don’t know if that option is looking positive - is Haarland happy to play along with Dortmund and stay another year knowing he can get better options and terms next summer - who knows. City might feel they need to act this summer rather than get drawn into an auction next summer. It’s only May so @Ric had better prime the servers... this could get Messi.

Of course id want to sign him.
Haaland would be first choice but id take Kane in a heartbeat. Hes a goal scorer. Pure and simple.
we are winning trophies despite missing a lot of chances , imagine us with someone who can bag for fun
......when he's not injured. He's clearly got a move lined up and is trying to make it impossible for spurs to keep him with his public statements about lack of progress (how shit they are). £30-40m he's worth the risk on the ankles.

There's no way you would get him for £100m

Not sure what your point is there fella. Because him saying that ”£100M is too much” obviously meant that anything more than that would also be too much . . as in; his opinion is that he’s not worth what they’ll be asking for him.

If we win the champions league and then sign Harry Kane that puts our foot on the throat of the rest of the league.
They will be defeated before they start
Can see this happening if haaland has said he’s staying another year at Dortmund
Going to be a lot of transfer action in coming weeks
Messi, haaland, Kane and grealish will all be positioning themselves
Going to be interesting

Anyone thinks it will get Haaland and his agent a kick up the arse think again they are in a fine position wait till next next season 65m buy out where there be plenty of top clubs lining up to buy him!

You’re quite right TB.

But unfortunately, his history of unreliability means that, it’s highly likely the foot will be off the throat of the rest of the league (due to injury making said foot unfit to do throat standing) for an increasingly large part of every future season.

Kane has asked to leave so he’s been tapped up, just can’t see City as a club tapping him up before a Champions League final, and as others have said this isn’t our modus operandi
maybe his agent has been tapping up city (+ other clubs) and we've signalled interest. still think more chance we go for a free messi over a £100m+ Kane
