It makes perfect sense to "fix" a match like this. Nothing riding on the result, so no scrutiny. On BT Sport between two games on Sky that have an effect on top 4. Bet someone in the east made a ton load of cash in betting syndicates!

VAR will work once the useless bastards using it get it right

the problems we have we have with it is that it’s a bunch of friends running it that don’t wanna shit on there mates toes

VAR should be run by folk that have no connection at all to the people reffing the games

last night was completely shocking I mean the Chelsea pen not given ?????
VAR should be used for offsides and nothing more now until you get folk in who can use it properly

all the decisions last night where embarrassing everybody could blatantly see that the refs and the VAR panel got it wrong but if they can’t see the bleeding obvious then just scrap it ........... honestly it was a nothing game as such last night but these twats are testing the water now ..... it’s only a matter of time before they truly fook a game over that will have massive bearing on a trophy:(

Mike Dean did his bit to make sure the scousers are relevant on the last day in the Chelsea game.

Not given an obvious penalty to the chavs gave Liverpool a doable opportunity to get 4th place.

Agreed. VAR has to be run independently of PGMOL as a tool (service) for referees. The referees should have the final say based on watching the video themselves. It is just an old boys club and a money-making racket for PGMOL. At present there is no accountablity or scrutiny of the operation. It is a farce.

They don't WANT to get it right: the way it stands Riley and his cohorts can guarantee rags and dippers get wins if and when needed.

I don't go to games anymore, too old. But regardless of age I would not waste my money on attending any Prem game ever again. There's no point: why pay bloody good money to watch a game where the outcome has already been decided?
I sometimes glance down the fixtures list see who's officiating when and where and I already know what the tabloid headlines will be the next morning: "Controvery surrounds rag/dipper win after ref awards penalty for no reason", or words to that effect.

There was a tremendous outcry over the proposed super league thing a few weeks back and everybody was up in arms about it, rightly so. But day in day out we the supporters are being shafted by Riley and his gang and nobody says a fucking word! It's offensive.

After last night I honestly think we should rejoin the super league and fuck these parasites off for good.
So long as they guarantee no English or British referees will ever be allowed to officiate.

When the betting syndicates get their claws in to individuals who are in a position to influence the game it becomes INCREDIBLY difficult to back out. We saw that with Grobbelar and Hansie Cronje.

You only have to take a single bribe, or carry out a favour once and they have you over a barrel.
 
The referees are shite. If they were decent and corrupt that would be different.
Does anybody actually believe Mason, Moss, and the other fat bastards could actually flick a switch and referee to a high standard if they wanted to ?

The Cavani goal, and the decision by Dean to award a free kick to Leicester and not a Chelsea penalty were ridiculous.

Mason becoming a VAR specialist is the biggest sick joke of all.
