I don't think it would have made a difference at all if it had been at Wembley. We might have got 7,000 instead of 5,850 but loads with high points totals who can't get to Portugal, like Bill, would have gone instead. It's people like him who should be furious, not the likes of me down the ladder.
 
My only gripe is that I think it would be fairer for priority to be given to fans who have done euro away trips before. Obviously a change like that would have to be done at the beginning of the season, but I do 3 Euros away each year but have little chance of a semi final (or quarter final) when we get to one.

No, mate. You’d have been miles off. Each club would still have had 7k fans and without all the other cost and hassle you’d have been in with far less of a chance.

Think the Govt were also partially to blame, they wouldn't agree to UEFA's demand for their hangers on to be granted access to the country regardless of where they were travelling from. Hey Presto, two weeks later and those free loaders are here anyway for the Euro Championships being played at Wembley. Would imagine it was two intransigent sides both trying to show their mettle, bollocks really and it makes you wonder what those fuckers from UEFA get from visiting a City they are coming back to anyway plus why did the Govt take such a hard line in these circumstances?
