Champions League Final | Post-Match Thread

As much as pep deserves some blame, half the team was just downright awful, zin and walker were both terrible

We lost the midfield not starting Fernandinho. Kdb should have been further back as well. Sterling to the left made Foden not playing his right position. Strange selections from Pep but thanks for an amazing season still City. 2 domestic titles are amazing anyway

You never want your manager to think they're bigger than the club. That tonight was proof of how bad things can get when they do.

JUST PLAY A DM, PEP! You've played a DM in every single game this season. WHY would you change it tonight? There's only one reason, and that's because he can't stand the idea that we would win and his 'tactical genius' would not be the centre of attention.

Pep lost with Bayern against 3 Spanish teams.
Lost with City against 3 English sides.

Pep's overthinking in CL .

You know he could've decided to play the usual lineup and if we lose fair play, but no he has to show everyone what a genius he is, why Pep just why did you decide to do that in a final ? we will never have a better chance of winning this thing and quite frankly I don't think we ever will with Pep, he just fucks up too much, 3 losses in a row to Chelsea and Tuchel, congratulations to them.

Unfortunately he has it in him, we all know it, but I still can’t understand that team I’m afraid and we never really recovered from it.

Easiest game Chelsea could have hoped for.

Always difficult to know the counter factual- we might not have won if we had played a proper team - but we would surely have played much better.

And if he says ‘we don’t have the history’ at any point tonight he can fuck right off.
