Watched the Mare of Easttown finale and thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent miniseries.

We watched the final 2 episodes last night, one of the finest series we've watched for a very long time. A final twist that neither of us saw coming as well.

Would thoroughly encourage everybody to watch it, do pay attention though ;)

Lol, before the final twist reveal I was actually thinking it was a bit of a disappointing final episode and was replaying all of the recent poor endings to TV series through my head. So glad Mare wasn't added to them.

Channel 5 Anne Boleyn. Terrible stuff. If you are going to be controversial and cast a Black Anne Boleyn you better make sure the script is a good one. Some of the worst scripting, leaden acting and inaccurate historical drama ever witnessed. Slow and cringe enduring.

Finished S2 of "Back Spot" the other night on Netflix. Very good series, moody and atmospheric, rainy forests, a bit of mythology. Hope there's a third series, but if not, I enjoyed watching it anyway.

My wife is a Tudor nut so we watch all this stuff. I guess I have watched enough miscasting of ethnicity in Jesus roles to let this one have some room but it fell for all the traps and clichés.... Whatever their intention it has backfired badly

[Dirty Harry]

Season 3 has started.

This is a brilliant TV series that has gone under the radar.

If you liked breaking bad you'll love this.

Think of Mike in his younger years as an enforcer and you'll get the jist of the story.

The main character 'Ray' plays a brilliant role, The action starts from episode one, no boring intros and meaningless episodes to get accustomed to the characters.

From the off you are drawn into this series and it just gets better and better.

Started watching this on the strength of these recommendations, wasn't expecting much but it's a cracking little series so far (just started second) not surprised it's quite a few episodes longer than the first, they probably realised they'd hit on a very good programme.

Ray is a great and likeable character, and some good support too, it's pretty raw and no frills which for me is a part of the appeal too.

not entirely - was very different to the first series but equally enjoyable.
And if you like it, the film is worth a watch too!

[Bigga]

'Sweet Tooth' dropped today on Netflix, an adaptation of a comic I've never heard of, set in an apocalyptic world.

The first episode, in itself, was quite interesting. So far, while it's dark in overtone, it's not something that kids 9/10 years old upwards, couldn't watch with you.

Be interesting to see how it pans out.

I did predict the 'twist' ending a couple of episodes prior but it didn't diminish my enjoyment of it.

Loved it, Mare and her Mom were brilliant
