No doubt Southgate will make more money doing pizza adverts again..failed in penalties and failed to develop a great generation of English talent.
 
Pleased with Scotland - had a few moments where we threatened and managed to frustrate England - helped by a very poor display by England. Very relieved when Grealish replaced Foden as Foden was the only player who looked like he make something happen. Also, happy for once not to see Sterling get the penalty he should have had - what is all this "too soft to give a penalty" - he stood on his foot!

We have something to play for against Croatia - probably won't mange it, but Croatia look past their best so we can live in hope - big problem is that I just can't see a goal coming.

Have to say I was very critical of O'Donnell last time, tonight I thought he did very well, created a good chance, could have scored and did what he had to do defensively. Dykes isn't the answer for a team that wants to score goals - but he worked hard, provided a decent target and helped out at defensive corners. But McTominay is still shit.
 
Same old shite with england. Southgate is not tactically astute as much as the FA would try to convince themselves with that notion...because they went with a trial of blooding a man from the england youth setup to the full national team

Fact is he has no natural ideas that have created an footballing id within the playing squad

We’ve got to get more quality in that midfield 3. For the Czechs I would go with:

Pickford
Trippier Stones Mings Chilwell
Mount Rice Foden
Sterling Calvert-Lewin Grealish

Superb from Scotland, absolutely brilliant heart went into that, probably had the best chances to win the game but I'll happily take a point from game which nobody gave us a chance in.

And Scotland were not the better side, England were poor and disappointing, but the better team berween two piss poor sides.
The media line is clearly to make them out to have been Brazil.
