Jack Grealish

A high percentage of our matches are played against 9 men behind the ball/park the bus etc..I would think Jack Grealish is one player who would be really good in those situations. He can drive at players, he's not afraid to take opponents on, he has great close control. He would certainly get us plenty of free kicks in dangerous areas, what we do with them is another discussion! Overall it's a yes from me.

The new mantra about Grealish being touted by the media is that he is good at winning free kicks. Wow and here's me thinking we might need a player whose good at beating players and smashing the ball into the back of the net. We have already got a specialist in "falling over" with Raheem. Perhaps we should get Mike Channon out of retirement. He spent most of his career lying on the pitch!

If we can't get Grealish as free kick winner we should look at Lionel Messi from FC Barcelona.

Maybe Pep is adopting big Sam's tactics.

The only problem with Messi is he tends to jink past defenders as if they aren't there before slotting the ball into the net. He isn't as good as Grealish at throwing himself at defenders and then falling to the ground. This is the new skillset required to be a world star.
One of the pundits today said Grealish looked dangerous when he came on against Scotland because he won some free kicks. I must be missing something because I just saw a player failing to get past his marker because he wasn't quick enough. Obviously Southgate can see something no one else can see because he is a football genius.

Itv just did a feature on him, I thought he came across as very confident and ambitious, borderline arrogant but that’s not a bad thing in a footballer. I like him and I’d love us to sign him, I think he would be an asset whether playing on the left or as an 8.

I think he’s ambitious enough to force the move too.

Hope so too, would be a fantastic addition

Where have you been. It is not a new mantra.
