Give a little respect to the chaps on here that have put in the hard yards over the years.

Its not the same at all,Kane (so far) has been woeful.Foden,while not yet hitting his heights....has contributed well and provided the occasional flash of brilliance.

If Kane wasn't Kane the captain, would he even start tomorrow on his showing so far? I doubt it. In fact, if he was a young striker given a chance, he wouldn't be on the bench for this game. Always the hope he will turn up, but another game of doing fuck all and being allowed to, would suggest Southpark hasn't the balls to drop him. If he did drop him who would come in as striker? I know he won't, but who do you have?

I'm wondering if it's a contractual obligation like the one he has in his spurs contract to play in big matches. I say "play"...

Not really. Just an observation that no team is looking great and if any team gets their act together, then winning the thing is possible. No better chance really.

I'd like to see England win this, if only for John Stones.

However... Let's be realistic, Italy, France, and probably Denmark would all see England off, but Germany will probably (invariably) save them a job tomorrow.

Fans get far too giddy about other teams supposedly poor performances, conveniently forgetting how average England have been up to now.
