I think something we've hopefully learned from this tournament with Lukaku and Kane, is that if you attack a lot and give them chances they can be good, but if you starve them of the ball they can be completely unimpactful.

Both good enough to be devastating under the right circumstances. Neither good enough to make miracles happen when they don't get the ball. It'd be the same with Haaland too.
 
I've never been impressed by Lukaku.

Hell, the guy is a giant and should dominate most centerbacks.

He's OK - but certainly not awesome.

Compare with Didier Drogba - Drogba was awesome.

Or with Zlatan Ibrahimović - world class.

Lukaku is an OK striker and might start for most sides. But he's far, far, far removed from world class.
 
Pretty sure he would get service in the box from kev. Pretty sure pep could get him to score a good number of goals that he would not score for another team. (He IS a good striker - could be excellent under Pep.)
