Italy have good defenders and the odd good midfielder, but their forwards are actually very poor. They had all that possession in 120 mins tonight yet only came close to creating a proper chance twice outside scoring from a corner.

England are better than we played tonight but both our tactics and our forwards were fucking terrible.
 
Unfortunately Southgate manages like a man trying not to make a mistake that people will criticise him for, rather than a manager who tries to make changes that can win the game. Went far too negative far too early and it cost us, then we're too negative with substitutions to take advantage of a knackered Italian team in extra time. They were there for the taking and we just let them play for pens. Gutted, that was a trophy we should have won.

A good manager with an average teams beats a good team with a poor manager apparently.
 
Walker,Stones,Maguire and Shaw were Englands best players in the tournament.
Mount,Foden,Grealishs talent wasted.
Saka not ready yet.Kane played well in 2 games.Sterling very good but all on him attacking wise.Phillips and Rice did well but playing both has eventually shown up the negative approach we have employed.
 
The minority of Neanderthals are out in force on social media spouting their bile at Saka.
 
Grealish should have been on from 60 mins for mount. It was very disappointing from Southgate to not see what was happening (the penalty takers was an abomination) and how we needed to get some control. However, he got us to a final and despite the "easy" path we made it and some credit is deserved. Im calming down now!?

The defence was but I'm sorry you need to get both sides of the game right. They were much better than us regardless of the score.

To allow a team to dominate from the 30th minute to the 115th minute is poor management.
