Course they do ya daftyNobody outgrows a club. That was my point
Anyway back to the rumour mill
Outgrown? Villa are a huge club. Has Mings outgrown them too? As I can only presume you are referring to the fact he is now a regular squad selection at international level.
I think the club only targeted grealish as they expect Bernardo to be off. If bernardo hadn’t asked to leave I highly doubt we would be even looking to strengthen in this area. But with the expected departure of Bernardo I would argue this is the biggest area we need to strengthen. As much as he is a very good footballer I can’t help but think it’s 80/90 million that could be better spent else where. I feel we are quite well stocked in the areas that he would play whereas we are in desperate need of a top class forward and probably a left back. These are the areas that need the most attention.
for me he is a quality player but not for the prices involved and he’s no better than what we currently have.
Much better player? Come on the hatred for Grealish on here is crazy. Hes good, real good with an end product. Would be a great addition . For all Bernardos attributes his goal scoring is a huge let down.I think the club only targeted grealish as they expect Bernardo to be off. Personally hope Bernardo stays as I don’t think grealish is gonna happen and I actually think Bernardo is a much better player than grealish
My reading of SWP's move to Chelsea was that it was as much about City needing the transfer fee as it was about a desire to leave.SWP yes his big move to Chelsea, and how did that work out?
Not good, SWP was a good player in a poor side, very similar to what Jack Grealish is in my opinion.
Steady on mate I wouldn’t say huge club, who outside of England has heard of Aston Villa? Not many I can assure you of that!Outgrown? Villa are a huge club. Has Mings outgrown them too? As I can only presume you are referring to the fact he is now a regular squad selection at international level.
As many or more that had heard of Man City before the sheikhs turned up. Pull your head inSteady on mate I wouldn’t say huge club, who outside of England has heard of Aston Villa? Not many I can assure you of that!
I don’t hate grealish I really rate him I just don’t think his ball retention, tackling and work rate are close to the level of bernardo. I think what Bernardo brings to this team from a defensive and team balance point of view is being over looked. Football isn’t just about goals and assists as you well knowMuch better player? Didn't look so huge a few years ago when we had more inside villa park than them! There is a reason why Delph left them and it's the same reason grealish will leave them.Steady on mate I wouldn’t say huge club, who outside of England has heard of Aston Villa? Not many I can assure you of that!
Not everyone lives in the UKUp at half one worrying. Panic, panic.
As Villa fan I don't disagree with you. I'm quite partial to Bernardo type playersI don’t hate grealish I really rate him I just don’t think his ball retention, tackling and work rate are close to the level of bernardo. Totally agree but I don't like the arrogance shown when we just expect every player we want to jump ship as if it's some entitlement, don't like the arrogance shown by a few of our fans.My reading of SWP's move to Chelsea was that it was as much about City needing the transfer fee as it was about a desire to leave.
Irrespective of which I don't think it unreasonable for an ambitious player to seek to play for a club regularly competing for trophies and playing in the Champions League against the best when they are not.
How any transfer works out isn't always certain but players seeking better teams to play in and sometimes more money will always happen.
You mean Aston Villa the once European champions.Steady on mate I wouldn’t say huge club, who outside of England has heard of Aston Villa? Not many I can assure you of that!
