For what it's worth I think Maguire has been a great signing for them and I rated him at Leicester. He is not that quick but his positional awareness and strength is excellent. Varane is nowhere near the level of Maguire.

Hey. Madrid supporter here. There is many things wrong in here. Varane has good positional awareness. And definitely he is not slow. He is actually one of the fastest cb's in the world. He could be a good partner for Maguire who is a bit slow. He is also good in the air, that will not be problem in England. Maybe not in Maguire's level but still good.

Varane is rated by Madrid supporters and Real didn't want let him go. He wanted a new challenge and Zizou's departure could be one reason also. He also has won everything in Real. He will be a clear upgrade to Lindelof.

As a Real and Varane fan, i think you should not mock him just because of United is signing him. He is a great CB.

We had to pay the big bucks in the early days for them to buy into a project they pretty soon became successful.This is Varane signing for a team that has spent over a billion pound since Fergie has left and achieved diddily squat.

Additionally, Vanarama is 28; Yaya, Merlin and Kun were all much younger, when they joined us.

Nope. Im a Real supporter and Varane fan. I read many forums like this, Redcafe, Juventuz, The shed end etc etc. Mostly because im interested to read about our former players or possible future signings. Just opened my mouth because you guys are really underestimating Varane badly. Most of people in here can't be objective.

Like i said earlier, peace. You may see his real level next season.

But only a three-time league champion, which is pretty poor for a decade at Real Madrid. And rest assured, in England the league title comes first. That's what he's been bought for.

Nobody who is a supporter of that team you claim to support would ever refer to them as 'Real'! They are known as 'Madrid'! 'La Real' is the team from San Sebastián. OK?

Too many examples of so called world class players who've play like they are suited to the Madrid Sunday leagues rather than the Premier League. Long may this continue.
