Seasoncard - 2021/22

Ok wise people of bluemoon, I need your help. I can't figure out how to add friends and family so I can share my ticket on the odd occasion that I can't go. Please can somebody point me in the right direction without me having to converse with the ticket office. Many thanks for your help and advice. :-)

But they are giving fans who are concerned the opportunity to test that their phones will work at the turnstiles and offering ‘drop in’ sessions to assist us.
I’ve not heard of any other club doing that. JMHO
I find that very underwhelming, actually. What will they do if your phone doesn't work? Buy you an iPhone 12.

I remember the exact same complaints when we stopped season ticket books for cards...the scanners won’t work...I like tickets...I won’t be able to pass it on to friends...this is the end for me...
I disagree

The cards were better simply because there was no guessing game about what number ticket to bring out of the season ticket book.

Apple and Google pay are actually very very secure. Your card numbers are not stored on your device, it gives you a unique device account number, that's encrypted and stored in a secure part of your phone. When you use it, your device account number and a specially created security code are used to process your payment.

Your more at risk of have your credit card skimmed in the tram or queuing to get in the ground.

Bottom line is if you have the means to do it embrace it
I’ve had my cards stored for a few years. Rarely go out without my phone but often without wallet. Can pay for stuff using contactless via phone and no £45 limit as you use fingerprint technology. If I’m ordering anything on line just click on Google Pay, no more entering card details every time and even your delivery address can be remembered.

Have all railway tickets in my wallet from Trainline and loyalty cards too.

It’s a great feature but I get it that it’s not for everyone.

And I’m late 50s.

I don't get the transferring of tickets to friends and family, they'll be ones with citizens cards sure but what's the point in transferring a ticket to a fellow season card holder? Instead of people meeting up in their own time before the day of the game to offload tickets they're going to have to transfer it to somebody they know and get them to meet whoever at the ground, just adds another layer of chaos. I remember the queues we would see outside the southstand on a normal day, add in all this and the covid protocols and it might be an overnight camp out if you want to make kick off.

Ticket page of the website. Sign in, click on your account top right, scroll down to the bottom to friends and family section, click manage relationships add then go through the short process. Very simple although I'm guessing the website traffic will be quite high tonight and we all know how the site loves to crash so be prepared to have to do it hlf a dozen times.

Fantastic. Thanks for your help. I'll give it a try tomorrow.

Friends and family would need their own supporter number. They would need to register if they’re not already. You would then get said number and add them to your F&F list via your account.

I've emailed City asking for a physical card as I renenwed on the basis we would have one. Also asked if it's not possible can I defer or cancel my ST.

All cup schemes also removed today from my account.

This shit is the final straw

I have a smart phone but the old man doesn’t so I’d like to print tickets off for him when I can’t go and he wants my ticket. The email wasn’t very clear about this …. If you request Print at Home tickets does this just give you an additional option to using a smart phone on a match by match basis or does that mean that your default option is restricted to print at home tickets and this precludes you from using smart phone entry ?

Thank you for your help. It all just seems like an uneccessary faff to me. My season card worked really well. Maybe I'm just getting old. :-)

So instead of getting a leather wallet in which you could insert yer plastic credit card-sized season ticket is the tin gonna contain a leather iPhone case, or are these new fangled tickets another way of MCFC fuckin' us over and not giving us a tin. Just WTF are we getting this season for our money? Don't tell me it's another squad of world class players and a gross of world, Sky 'n BT shattering goals from every angle, I want a tin.

One of the issues of outsourcing a call centre.

Some bloke on minimum wage taking wall to wall calls from potentially angry people. They‘ve just appeased you to get off the line.
Doesn’t make it acceptable by city to just say well it wasn’t us that said it, they decide if outsourcing and in turn the issue lies with them

That's not the point mate.
I don't want to use Google Pay just to get access to a football ground.
It's not just a case of downloading the App, you need to check what Google Pay can be used for - payments, transfers of money , payment limits, your liabilities and responsibilities etc etc.
Why should I have to bother doing this just to get into the Etihad?
PS Does Barclays recognise Google Pay?
