Seasoncard - 2021/22

if city can print a ticket
up to 7 days before a game
for pick up at the ground
why can't they print the full 19 for the season?
don't they trust us or summert
At a rough guess it's because they want the date and KO time on any printed tickets and they don't know those in advance.
I suppose they could do them in batches as soon as the TV changes are announced.
I know the date and time aren't essential and they could add a disclosure saying date and time to be confirmed, but that's my guess.

If I download the mobile season ticket to an old iPhone that doesn’t have a SIM card in it will that gain me entry to the ground even tho it won’t be connected to a mobile network ?
As long as your iPhone 6 or newer is set up and you can access the email link to your account when you get the notification and have Applepay set up to put the ticket in your wallet you're fine.

The previous system
Card. Beep. In.
Can’t go to the game?
Card. Friend. Beep. In.

there’ll be some spurious bollocks about safety/ access/ speed/ moving with the times, fact is this is all about the club making more £. Get us into the ground earlier, make the queues longer, spend your £ on ten pound pies listening to that **** Ferris.
Card. Beep. Fuck off

That's not the point mate.
I don't want to use Google Pay just to get access to a football ground.
It's not just a case of downloading the App, you need to check what Google Pay can be used for - payments, transfers of money , payment limits, your liabilities and responsibilities etc etc.
Why should I have to bother doing this just to get into the Etihad?
PS Does Barclays recognise Google Pay?
I discovered Barclays doesnt recognise google pay when I tried to pay for my Everton ticket. Spent 2 hours in the phone to customer services just to be told they had taken the money already with details they have as I pay my ST with DD.

I pay for my ST by DD every month. Does this mean I wont have to download google pay? As I have said In previous post Barclays does not support the app.

Edit: have just remembered my 1st payment has gone out of my account so that answers my own question.

I rang Barclays when trying to pay for my Everton ticket, was dont they dont support it!!!

You must have a card registered on your account if they did that. They can’t use DD details to make one off payments.

You don't know what's changed though do you? This communication is a damn sight better than the one they originally planned to send, because that original one didn't cater for all the potential scenarios that we foresaw could occur. They were alwys going to do this and there's very little we could do about that.

We're less than thrilled but we're stuck with it.
It must be a thankless task dealing with City these days. They seem to be on a mission to alienate as many fans as possible. I will upgrade my phone and take it on the chin like most people but it seems so strange that they have not phased this in properly. With all the Covid restrictions as well there are just too many hoops to jump through.

@Prestwich_Blue hopefully you may have an answer as I've read the FAQ's but not convinced it's covered.

My question is can you mix n match the options? It reads as if for example if you want a ticket to print at home or collect from the stadium that you just let them know once and that's your option for the season. However in my case I have a friend who doesn't know his arse from his elbow when it comes to technology, now I can download his ticket to my phone which will be fine 80% of the time but there will due to work games that I will miss and he can't have my phone so in that scenario is the process to arrange a collected ticket as a one off straight forward even though you may have selected mobile ticketing as your default option?
