None of the players you quote left us at the beginning of their career; they were all at the end of their time with us. Easy to wish all those players the very best knowing they’re at the end of their careers. Not comparable with Grealish in any way whatsoever
 
Aye, there's been enough genuinely mental reactions from Villa fans not to have to resort to normal pissed-off stuff. People trying to sue Ahsan, people trying to put money on kid's hospitals, people impersonating Sam Lee to make rape jokes on Twitter... Most of the stuff on VillaTalk, for all the denialism and such, is just the normal stuff that you would 100% see on here if Foden got bought away from us.

Grealish could have got a big move back when they were stuck in the Championship. He decided to stay and got them back in the prem and is leaving them in a good position with a hundred million in the bank. Any of their fans wishing him ill after that when he could have fucked off at any time and left them to rot in the lower leagues are ungrateful twats.

Ain’t that the truth. We’d be fuming in their position; and rightly so, far too much hubris on here. Time to rein it in and quit the infantile goading of opposition sites etc. Embarrassing

Wouldn't it be wiser to make this ststement only after the Sterling renewal? The hate would go beyond the Aston Villa level.

I was heartbroken to see SWP leave for Chelsea, but I never felt any anger towards Chelsea or SWP. It was good business for City at the time and he deserved the chance to further his career.

After how them cunts behaved at Wembley last year and how they’ve reacted to the news this week, I’ll goad all I want.

We already had it with Shaun Wright in recent times. Don't remember many City fans hating Chelsea at the time. Hoping they would give those Trafford Cayman island tax dodgers a slap was the main priority. As fans I don't remember much bitterness. We were on our arse(again)at the time.

Bernardo had what, one average season? while Gundagan was the best player in the league for a large stretch and nudged him out, Mahrez was playing his best football since Leicester leaving Bernardo benched, Grealish has been a big fish in a small pond in Birmingham. I'm not convinced he's a starter in one of the best teams in the world.

If you're spending 9 figures on a player he should be one of the inaugural names on the team sheet. Not a utility player. This would be a daft signing. He's technically not as good as a Foden or Bernardo. He scores goals, he can pick a pass. He isn't very quick. He's marketable and has the personality that will garner huge amounts of press. He reminds me of a very raw Lampard, but can he reach those lofty heights? Is he an improvement on what City already has? Not for me. Would the fee be worthwhile? Depends how you define what ''success'' is. Save the 100m and put it towards Kane.

I think some are taking into account the 'Pep' factor too much on this one. This reminds me of a mid/late 00's City signing. Gareth Barry tier.

That's 90% of Villa fans - ungrateful twats. How they treated Gareth Barry was pathetic. They didn't deserve him.
