So after the 'crunch' talks today there is no news about what happened.

So either nothing has changed, we are still negotiating a fee (or the structure of the fee) and Grealish is still expected to sign for us as per the general consensus of the media.

Or he has had a change of heart, wants to stay at Villa and Villa have decided to keep that to themselves.

Is that where we are up to?
More or less, but the former feels rather more likely than the latter when you put it like that! I suppose option C is that Grealish has said he wants one last night to sleep on it, but surely he has all the talks with his advisors and family on holiday and has come back knowing what the deal is.

Grealish is a very good creative wide player. If he doesn't come, we still have four excellent wide players and four excellent creators. I still feel really apathetic about this one personally.

To you perhaps to me it’s going normal speed given the circumstances.
Don’t think so, especially if there’s a buyout. Quite straight forward really but the bit I don’t get is all this wait for the euros. Then returning from holiday, then crunch talks today to reporting information on Thursday? He’s either said he wants to go or not?

Totally agree. It’s the potential of him that makes me want him. He could elevate towards KDB levels in the centre if he takes to Pepball.

Should we not get him, we’re not short, as you say.

I think you have to factor in that even if he has made his mind up he will want to personally thank Villa and leave on as good terms as possible and if that means listening to what Villa have to say then he’s going to do it. If he were leaving on bad terms he would be here already probably. The PL clubs also all know each other and want to keep things civil if possible.

Whilst still being favourites to sign for us on paddy power.
I think using betting odds to make your point on transfers proves nothing.

It's obvious that the betting companies are trying to get Villa fans to put some money on it.

Agreed. If Bernardo ends up staying, it makes it even more of an odd choice vs going all in for Kane.
