Barca are ridiculous, if they really think La Liga will bend the rules for them. And if La Liga do, then the rest of the clubs should strike.

Somebody called all of this happening on here ages ago. A sorry Laporta saying we just can't afford him. Messi being sad he can't stay. Then him leaving
I thought Messi was a net contributor?
The spending lies in other directions if so and they lose his input. Seems to be historical debt rather than balancing this year's budget that makes them financially destroyed.

It's a sign, I've just flicked onto radio 2 for the pop quiz and mambo No5 was playing.
Get the thread changed back to the Messi mambo again..

"A little bit of Lionel in the sun
A little bit of grealish on the run.
A little bit of sterling on his own.
A little bit of class from kdb
Come on city make Leo our man..."

....I'll get my coat!

Best case scenario here is negotiate with both, Kane will go to deadline day anyway, unless we pay the 150 million. If Messi at any point is willing to put pen to paper then drop out the Kane deal.

I think people have just been here many times before and are very cynical of Messi and Barcelona. Its a severe case of de ja vu and people see it for what it probably is.
You can be cynical because of the past, sure. To actively not want him because of some made up notion like he's too old, past it, too much of a circus, he's turned us down in the past and various other misnomers being bandied about makes no sense to me.

Incredible the job Bartomeu did. Truly incredible.

Genuinely it would have been quite difficult to put Barcelona in this bad a position financially.

There's an alternative timeline where he gives Neymar the reassurances and love he wanted and he never leaves.

Then they don't spend ~€1,000,000,000 on fees and wages for Dembele, Coutinho and Griezmann.

Just imagine though if he went to the scum or Chelsea or the scousers?! Personally I don’t want him after he had pissed us about used us for years! The thought of him going to another premier club though for me we can’t allow it!

I'm concerned that none of them have asked 'If we sell Sergi Reberto to City, would it be possible Messi can stay'

how Barca ended up getting so greedy that they dumped Laporta for Rosell and started the downward spiral of greed and incompetence. Laporta must have walked back in, taken one look and gone "what the fuck have you done to my club?". For all his faults Soriano at least builds things.
