FFP has effectively been suspended because of COVID. So these numbers will not impact them from a UEFA FFP perspective. La Liga has its own FFP type rules and they are not being given a pass on the forward looking wage bill v's income rule. It is a situation that could be resolved within the Spanish system but it it clearly isn't getting sorted.

But FFP and Spanish league rules are slightly beside the point. They have been living beyond their means for years and covid has only brought forward the inevitable. As i said yesterday and have been saying for months they are fecked! This needed to happen.

It Hasn’t they just changed it to a four year monitoring period that’s the only official statements regarding ffp been reported unless you can post something to that it has been suspended..

I don't think Messi is going to rush into deciding right now. He would be holding off for all clubs to make an offer.

What ever happens in this debacle we are in a glorious position just to be able to sit back and enjoy it.

Either way we’ll end up with Kane or Messi (more unlikely of the 2) but to see these clowns at Barca on their knees admitting their outgoings are 110% of their total income is amazing. After years of being part of the cartel trying to stop us from progressing whilst massively overspending themselves this is a great watch.

in summary apart from Serg fuck the lot of them, I hope they struggle for many years to come. Enjoy Garcia being your best player.

Now where’s that little twit who was on here a few months back representing Barca telling us how great a club they are etc...

He hasn't got too long to think about it or he'll be sat on his arse until January - or in money not earned terms ... about £8m.

Not true, we have backed him all the way and at the last minute we pull out and leave him high and dry, we would be completely out of order.

It would damage the clubs reputation If we were in the same position anytime in the future.
A bit like Messi leaving us out to dry last year ?

Yes but people are using the line he's used us as a reason they don't want us to sign him, which as we don't know that's true, seems daft to me.
Fair point. However, would you agree that many people are convinced that this is the case and, believing this to be so,quite rightly register their opinion as to their opposition to signing him.

He is a free agent, so clubs can sign him anytime. The window doesn't apply now in this case. Though he would want to get this sorted to start playing since the league's are starting.

If I was City right now id say Levy here is 115m take it or leave it you have 48 hours to accept or reject. Gets rejected ? Cool

Messi hey here is a £115m signing on bonus + £300k wages you in? You have 48 hours to accept or reject. Then keep upping the figure until 1 accepts lol.
Why on earth would we pay Messi a £115m signing bonus ?

This is a 3 horse race.

PSG, City & Chelsea are the only clubs with the filthy moulah to afford him.

PSG have a weak league where he won't have to engage too much & Paris.
City have Guardiola and the most complete team out of the 3 (a chance to enjoy playing again, but the worst environment)
Chelsea are european champions and have London (both of which, weirdly, could count against them)
