Harry Kane

If Inter are prepared to let Martinez go for £60m should we not be getting a bit of that instead of splashing at least double on Kane?
After all, we’ve not done badly with short spiky Argentinian strikers in the past have we.
Well no, because Martinez is less than half the quality Kane is

I would take issue with that
Very similar to a young Kun
Very mobile and good finisher
Last year he couldn’t be prised from Inter for £100m but has lived in Lukaku’s shadow this season as it suited Inter’s style of play
Would be a snip at £60m

Bored of this.

are we going to say we should be signing every player who happens to sign for another team before Kane is done?

lukaku, this guy…

There is no way Grealish is comparable to Kane in any rational way. That's a player who couldn't even get into the England side being comapred to the England captain.

Kane assists more than Grealish does and scores 10 times as much. Kane is only a couple of years older too, Grealish is hardly a wonderkid. He's a quality player but let's be real. Kane will likely end his career as all time leading PL goalscorer.
Spoken like a true Spursy!

Agreed. Imagine having the best manager in the world and one of the best in recent history at your club and giving him two seasons without a genuine number 9.

It'd be ridiculous and it's that reason (amongst fucking Messi off) as to why I think Kane will get done. We seem that confident that it wouldn't surprise me if we know all along that we'll pay what Spurs want (think @BillyShears alluded to it last week) but are just seeing if we can get the price down.
I hope Levy doesn’t read this post, otherwise we are screwed in the negotiations…:)

No
Just making a point
Martinez seems better value and fits the bill of how we have played so far
Sorry if it’s boring for you

They have seen every top player they have had in the past decade leave so they are used to it. Villa were fiercely protective of Jack and they won a CL dont ya no.
Bale and Walker are the only 2 first team players sold in their prime over the past decade and bale was 8 years ago .
