Seasoncard - 2021/22

We get so much right on the field and sometimes off the field, but since the take-over the way the club treats fans is shocking, any other company in a customer service capacity would have sorted this out years ago, but there does seem to be an underlying incompetence or extremely poor management of the ticket office and associated customer contact, websites, phone lines, communication all seem to be way low down on the pecking order, it really is baffling...
 
Messaged the club last week to say I couldn’t download the digital ticket. I got an automated response. Someone on here helped me and it’s sorted but no one from the club has come back to me. Been a season card holder for 30 years… they really do take us for granted.

My tent is pitched outside for my queuing to make sure I get in early in case of problems. :-) You know me daft to the end.
Of course if there were some kind of boycott I’d find it very difficult and probably impossible to cross a picket line! Never crossed one yet and couldn’t break that pattern. An honorary life time member of my union, they’d take away the badge and the honour! :-)
 
I’ve got mine in my Apple wallet. All it says under the season ticket (blue block) is a pic of a phone and the words hold near reader. No barcode.

It looks like there's a difference between iPhones and Android phones, the Androids have "show code" under the ticket and selecting that shows a barcode that changes every few seconds, presumably as a copy-prevention method.
 
@birchvillablue your last sentence sums it all up : communication and the ticket office etc do seem to be at the bottom of the pecking order. We had some really special people working in our ticket office and on the phones and I’m beginning to get the impression that they’ve been let go and things farmed out. As I’ve said before I’ve been lucky whenever I’ve had any dealings. It can’t always be the poor people working there. It sounds more like communication from above.

Any one managed to get their Cityzen membership refunded after taking on a Seasoncard?

Was it automatic or you had to call?

Or is that not being refunded anymore (like in previous seasons, when it was) - City used to state with Cityzen membership that it gets you on the waitlist and if you get a seasoncard, it'll be refunded/discounted in that price, but I can't see written anywhere this time.

Good stuff - I was stressing looking for a bar code ! I have the hold near reader under the ticket so hopefully should be ok
 
Well you can fuck off City and that tit from Tokyo as well. Google pay (which I don't want to use but have to) won't accept my debit card. Sick of this shit
Hopefully you get it sorted mate - once I had got the ticket downloaded, I deleted my debit card! Like you didn’t want to use Apple Pay and won’t be doing as am on the DD scheme

Glad you’re sorted mate. The debit card is just to activate the Apple wallet. As you have figured you can delete it but it’s not to do with paying City. I have mine set up so if I buy stuff on internet I can quickly select Apple/Google pay as payment method. No messing putting in card details. Can also phone in shops to pay contactless and no £45 limit as with your card. I use it all the time. It’s more secure than carrying a card around.

I do worry I might pay for Harry Kane at the turnstile at the Norwich game though!
 
My dad's mate has a season ticket which I am trying to sort out. However, the email address he has is registered to another supporter number for some reason with no season ticket on it. Been trying to get in touch for 5 days now and hung up on everytime. The twitter team are useless as well, picking and choosing who they respond too. Not everyone can have time off work to go and sort it at the ground. It's disgusting how they are treating the older fans.

The hand held scanners and turnstiles couldn't communicate with my phone at the Everton game but could "see" the code when I pressed the "show code button". - Will this be the case with the season tickets or is the download different to what we got for Everton?
 
The way to get this sorted is do as the scousers did,, mass walk out around the 60 min mark, this would hit home and have maximum impact especially with TV the way it is now.
But sadly people won't do this but as anything in life if you genuinely want things to change it has to be a big majority to partake in it.

It's a calculated attack on the older fan. Why would the club want to persist providing prime seats at half price to older fans who bring flasks, sandwiches and blankets, who would never buy merchandise (other than a match programme and the club want those gone for good) when those prime seats can be sold a full match day prices and the purchaser is a money laden day trippers.

No room for loyalty anymore even though it was the older fans who kept City afloat for years. We just have to face it, our time has gone and our club has gone. It's just the lead brand on the money making CFG franchise and old farts are no longer the target audience.

They are cynical about it too. About 3 years ago my daughter couldn't make the United game so we listed on Ticket Exchange. I never saw it come up for sale but just thought I'd missed it. At the game I spoke to the bloke next to me and I said he was lucky and quick to snap it up. He said he hadn't been and that he was on a corporate deal which involved a pie, and pint at the CFA and then he walked over the bridge with his freebie programme all for a bargain £200. I was raging as I could have took a friend but we gave the chance to a matchday member only for City to say sod that, we'll sell it as corporate.
 
Got an angry rant from my mate last night trying to download his ticket on phone,
cant login to the city site wont accept any password even a new one created, tried ringing up and and after an hour waiting was cut off 3 TIMES,
was on the verge last night of telling em to stuff it and give him his money back.
after calming him down he going to try again today on the phone 1st thing,
question though is there anyone at the stadium / ticket office to actually speak to in person if you are really struggling with something to try and get it sorted,
