I don't think it'd be a disaster but come on. From Harry Kane to a guy who's hardly had one good season and we'd throw €80m? I hope that's not true.

It reeks of desperation imo, he does fit into the profile of signing young players and helping them develop, he's a good option. But I need to hear more expert analysis on him maybe. Just doesn't make sense like that all of a sudden, there's no goal records on him and no guarantees how he'll be.

We didn't just pick his name from a hat we've been linked with him for a bit. The club will have done it's homework.

Yep lets move on. We can find another two names before lunch, make up an inflated fee, add a few tweets from kfalls, throw in a few video clips , and I can still make my 3.00pm tee off time.-)

I trust that, but yet again it's not the main target in question, and the obvious better target. Probably just stems from my personal preference of wanting Kane. I agree we will have scouted heavily and known what his potential is.

Get what you're saying but no signing comes with "guarantees" bud. Kane could do his ankle on his debut. Dias was labelled crap but looks like a future captain. It's unpredictable.

Dias was said as acrap, Portuguese otamendi,a disaster and what not when we immediately moved on to him ,for a substantial fee after koulibaly talks failed. Club would have done it's homework.

Well if the ITK's are to be believed there's crunch talks today about Kane so it's not like they've given up on the main target but at least we have a back up option and not all this "Kane or bust" nonsense. I'll take a young promising striker with a season of goals behind him over Torres up front.

It’s because we put our eggs in one basket and hoped Grealish/Kane wanting to come would be enough to drive the price down.

Andre Silva scored 28 goals last year, is relatively young and went for £20ish million. Patson Daka was scoring at a similar rate to Haaland when he was as at Salzburg and went for £20m-ish. Inter are having a fire sale.

Vlahovic could be the next big thing, or he could be a £70mil flop with 1 decent season under his belt.

Let's see. Fwiw there will be clarity over the whole situation soon. Not long before the window shuts.

Only good thing about all this is that, for the first time in a long time, there may be some Transfer Deadline Day drama involving City! We usually have everything wrapped up by mid-July, so it'll be fun to watch us being involved for a change.

Especially considering I missed the takeover/Robinho signing in 2008 as I was on a plane - landed and we were a totally different club! While I'm on it - I've asked before, and will ask again, does anybody happen to have hit record on their Sky Player when it all kicked off on Sky Sports News in 2008 and recorded the whole day of us being taken over? I'd love to watch it. I really regret going on that holiday!!

He knows someone's come in with an offer and the money is too good to refuse. Vlahovic clearly does not intend to sign a new deal

Vlahovic is a finisher. First start as a starter this season and he was the best youngster in seri a. Only problem is its his first season as a starter. He's nicknamed the Serbian sharpshooter. He's clinical in the penalty box. Can only improve. Strong in the air as well. Id take him just for his finishing. But his link up play and passing needs to improve a lot.

He's young but has only continued to improve at everything he does. Has a flair to him. There were comparisons early in the seri a season to Haaland.

If he does come I think he would surprise a few. His team was losing to atalanta they came back with him scoring the goals but he showed leadership telling his team mates we can win this they lost but he showed leadership . He looks hungry for the ball every time he plays. He's a young hungry goal scorer. With the service of KDB and Grealish he could score 25 plus. One of seri a brightest talents
