Seasoncard - 2021/22

Mine didn’t work initially!
Steward looked at the blue ticket in my apple wallet with the prompt ‘Hold Near Reader’ & said “where’s your bar code?”
Shrugged shoulders & said “This is what I downloaded from City”.
Steward takes my phone & presses black circle with 3 white dots in top RH corner, scrolls down & reveals a QR code.
This worked!
Did I miss this in the guides or FAQ’s from City?
Exactly what happened to me too. No confidence in this new system whatsoever

Same with me & my adult lad.

Made a point of paying for our Saturday night curry with Apple Pay with the bank card loaded in my Apple wallet so I know NFC on the phone works fine!
So obviously City’s reader at the turnstile wasn’t playing ball with NFC! This at M1.
It failed for several others before my turn too, before stewards intervened.

just an utter joke

after about 5 attempts for my son to go in first, the turnstile opened and i know
the steward pressed something to make it happen,he said he didn't but there you go

after probably 6 to 7 attempts by me to get in,angling my mobile in all different angles,a steward inside recognised me and pressed something inside cos he knew my nipper was already inside

I asked him, will it be like this again next week v arsenal.he said hope not,not his fault etc

just a scandalous disgrace

Most Over the Top Post 2021 winner.

Was watching from inside ground as people were entering and couldn't see any different lights for adults/ concessions.does this mean they can no longer differentiate between different priced tickets .im more than happy to pay upgrades normally but looks like they are not going to allow this for this year so on the odd occasion may have to wing it.

AFM. Alright For Me. Worked well. The worst thing was the quality of the beer. Paper cups means they can’t see they are pouring what amounts to just air into your ‘glass’

Absolute piece of piss with no issues.

No one in the queue in front of me had any mither.

Resounding success imo.
I spoke to two seventy somethings today who don't have smartphones or email. To be honest I wondered if they'd be back and was really glad to see them.

They have to collect their match tickets from the stadium for every game now.

Pretty sure they didn't think the new system is a piece of piss with no issues. In fact both wondered why they couldn't have a card which was so much more convenient for them.

NFC worked fine for me at M1. The only issue was the length of the queue, longest I’ve ever seen it, took about 15 min to get in, backing up to and just beyond the steps that lead off-site.
And the lift worked too!

i have 3 season cards in my wallet but sometimes cant make the match due to work.i know i can transfer mine to my daughter but as she would then be taking the kids would she be allowed to download their tickets to her wallet

There was not much of a queue at the ticket office at 1pm for getting tickets printed. Did it build up?

I'm no scientist but liquid would displace "air". Or do you mean quantity?

Lack of lifts is a joke, and an arse to sort after the fact, but certainly not impossible! Fuck Kane off, and use a paltry amount of the money saved for new lifts and external escalators. No-brainer.
Can a lift score 20 goals a season?

After we’d been standing waiting for the gates to open a tannoy announcement said ‘if you have a paper ticket please ensure they don’t get wet’!! Or words to that effect. It caused amusement as we were getting soaking wet!
Hmm... It wasn't raining between 12.45 and 1.15 (at least on the east side...)

I don't know. The people I referred to collected in the week and I have an NFC enabled phone. They're both pensioners so they have time but one of them doesn't have a car he has to get two buses.

Think he meant quantity. Had 2/3 pint beer and 1/3 pint of froth. Only reason I didn't bother complaining was because it was half price.

I really don't know why they don't have someone just continually pulling pints. All they have to do is keep 10 pints or so ahead and then if for some inexplicable reason they don't get sold then they lose what £20 at cost? The upside being less queues, more people buying, sell more.

Baffling.
