Harry Kane

He's not exacly jesus when it comes to pressing he usually lets the midfield do that. So with of the ball work him and ronaldo would be very similar imo.
Not really Jesus level work rate but he still drops deep and gets involved very heavily, there's a reason why Pep wants him so badly. It's a misperception because he does not have pace that he does not get involved and just stays up, would say it also stems from watching England play but then again, people should know Southgate's side aren't a good measure of how a player plays at club level.

Kane hiring a PR firm and caring so much about what Spurs fans think shows he isn't prepared to force the move, and that's the only thing we were relying on to have Levy come to a compromise on the inflated asking price.

That's irrespective of who you believe about the training situation.

Kane and his brother were out-moved by Levy, and now the clock ticks down towards the close of the window and we seem to be at a stalemate.

As it stands it seems like the only way the move happens is if we meet the inflated asking price, and I don't see us doing that. How do you see it?
okay, most players don't "force a move", especially not club captains who came through the academy! it's always "keep your head down and let the negotiations play". that doesn't mean "backtracking"!

Dropping deep isnt working hard we know he can do that. None of the options on the market are known for pressing imo.
I'd say getting involved in play as much as possible is a solid indication that a player's workrate is good.

He’s not the club captain

Good question and difficult to answer unfortunately. I'm not undermining the achievements of our club, I'm simply pointing out that our strategy for replacing key figures has not been great. How long did we all discuss getting a replacement in for Vinny, even when he was still here and playing, for us to let him leave and then try and pick someone that suited us in Dias? We were rather fortunate that Phil was as effective as he was or else we would have been left in the cold when Silva left. We got told nearly 6 months ago that Aguero was leaving, yet here we are 10 days away from the window shutting and it not even looking close. I expect Fern to leave in the summer, who do we have that's a quick out and out DM?

I understand it looks like I hate our transfer dealings but I can assure you I really don't, we always get good players - what is fairly evident is that we are poor when it comes to replacing our key players and doing so in plenty of time. We've gone from having 4 strikers in Aguero, Tevez, Dzeko and Balotelli to having 1 striker who actually looks better when he's not playing as a striker - that might not be problematic in your eyes but I genuinely think its poor planning.
Do you ever post in the post match thread when we win?
Just a quick look at your posts and it's all the one's when we got beat.
Isn't that a coincidence!!
Not undermining the achievements of the club?

Yeah whatever mate.

Why ? you haven’t the faintest idea where we are with the deal, and to where?
If reports are true that the monetary divide is around 50 million, that's pretty far apart. From what we have heard in the media, Levy values at 150 million - minimally. We value him at around 100. So, if that is the case, then why would the club pay more than we feel he is worth? We walked away from Koulibaly for the same reason. Other clubs in the PL feel that with the money City has, we can pay a premium for any player we want. So they bump up the price.

Whether we feel we need Kane and our belief that the club should pay no matter what isn't really relevant. Its the Clubs valuation of Kane. And from all reports - at least up to yesterday - the Club values him differently than Spurs.

Now my opinion would be - don't raise the offer. Do we need a striker? Yes. Would Kane be a good fit? Yeah probably. Should we pay what Spurs are asking? Most definitely - no. I would think we should expect something to happen by Friday. They have Watford on Sunday. There's no reason Kane shouldn't start in that game.

i would say a good measure of work rate is when we don't have the ball not getting involved when we do. Im okay with our striker not having crazy pressing like jesus or bernardo as long as they do enough and most importantly score lots of goals. For that reason, someone like ronaldo shouldn't be ruled out if levy wont budge.

My first post in here and I have been enjoying the thread!

For me I have no clue what's going to happen with kane don't think many actually do

But I think people forget that dias played the day before he flew to Manchester to sign for us

For me I don't care what we spend or who we spend it on I trust the club and pep to make the right decisions

Just looking forward to finding our what happens either way

Delaps going on loan. Kompany is after him
Stoke City imo

Lewandowski 50m. CR? 25m. Or Harry at let’s say 150m.

let’s say you can have one of these sign for City right now. Who would you choose and why?

For me I would have Lewandowski.
